Where do I start with that? Firstly, the London Colney gaffa slates Hertford Town in the press only to be sent to the stands for persistent petulance and dissent after seeing his side reduced to 10 men and several bookings on the night.

Dirty, diving, cheating Charity Shield winning players from Hertford Town were only booked twice.

"Put that in your paper, put that in your paper!"

Couldn't agree more. We're usually a decent passing side but for some reason last night, we went full-on 80's Wimbledon and just hoofed it all night. Maybe it's something to do with the state of the pitches at this time of year or maybe just nerves but as you say, a win is a win.

I would however like to applaud London Colney FC for their kind gesture of donating the champagne they were expecting to celebrate with to our dressing room after the game. Their gaffa let himself down with the classless staements in the press and his behaviour on the night but their staff & fans were superb.

More balanced reporting from the LCFC side of things this morning following their 7 yellows, 1 red & gaffa sent to the stands.

Apparently, it was all our fault again. I'm sure Kardan Campbell's lip would agree after he viciously thrust it into the defenceless elbow of Hertford Town reject Harry Sedgley.

Charity Shield HT

@HertfordTownFC 0

@LCFC1907 0

Colney down to 10. Red card was harsh. Their was an elbow but didn't look intentional. Loads of bookings too in a not really nasty game.

When is the video/audio likely to be up on the blog MrColdEnd?

Noisiest I've ever heard The Stable End choir and would love to read everyone else's non-biased views on the game.

I shook your hand at FT. Took the banter from Anstead, Summers & Sheephead in the clubhouse in good grace plus the subsequent banter on Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Just didn't have the time to expose myself to further mockery on here but will always take it as well as I dish it. :)

Thanks for the congratulations fella.

Here are the higlights from the big cup final.

The red card incident is from 3m 25secs... with two replays. I really can't make up my mind if it was a red or not. No doubt there was an elbow but was it intentional?

BD good win for you guys. But did you ever string 5 passes together? Fair play for picking up the shield, any way possible, but I've always been lead to believe your a good footballing side. Didn't see that last night?

Well done Hertford Town FC always nice to win a Cup.

I would rather win a Cup and play bad or play like Leighton Town who play like the Wimbledon team of the 1980's ;) then play like Barcelona :D and lose a Cup Final.

Hertford Town FC got the job done and that's the main thing.
