blue pilgrim
Go onto the BBC Football Website and take a look at the goal highlights from this game. Or perhaps more relevant, take a look at their pitch. Bearing in mind our experiences in recent times, I'm surprised Gus Poyet didn't get the Ref to call it off. So Witham, Lowestoft and Farnborough would you have packed up and gone home today? lol

Eastside Urchin
Difference is,as crap as some of these league pitches look,it's often misleading as yes, they are churned up and look like a mud pit but they are flat, the ball rolls and it bounces. The Bradford pitch while obviously no good for free flowing football, still behaved like a football pitch should, probably because they have a decent budget to work with and plenty of hands to make it playable, sadly clubs at our level don't..and we all know that as much as we want some games to go ahead,if they did it would be a joke of a game on certain pitches

Too many people watch the Prem League and think every game must be played on perfect pitches and perfect conditions so no team have an unfair advantage and the best team wins etc. but who said football has to be fair? Monday's showed that even on a mud bath with standing water (well done to everyone involved in getting the pitch ready and the two teams for playing on it) the game can still be entertaining and exciting. I've seen plenty of dull games on perfect pitches.
blue pilgrim
It's an outdoor sport, played in outdoor conditions. You never want to see a player injured, but surely a rock hard pitch is more dangerous than a muddy one? Has a manager ever complained about a pitch being too hard ?
