v Arlesey

You see a different game to me,Curtis,as I quite enjoyed it,apart from the drenching I got.

Thought Arlesey deserved a point but as Slough know, you don't always get what you deserve.

Bit surprised that Reece Yorke started, given his head injury but thought he played very well.

With Luke Williams and Dan Brown shining, think Tom Moran and Parson brothers deserve a mention for their contributions, too. All three of them gave 100%,whereas a couple of our players seemed to be pretending to get stuck in.

Better not mention them as I will be pounced on by the forum police!

3spirit, I enjoyed the game as well but certainly never saw anything that suggested that any of our players were giving less than 100%.

Sorry to sit on fence but thought it was quite even. I think part of the reason our keeper looked busier is that our chances weren't neccessariky on target (Dan should have scored first half he had two bites of the cherry and I'd expect any outfield player to stick em in- and eds mazy run and great turn was just off target)

I felt their shots were more accurate and therefore produced saves.

But then again I'd have given mom to jake parsons, and I thought Dan brown wasn't as world class as everyone else (superb at breaking up play but some wasteful passing- and missed a sitter, however I felt he did look promising)

Also agree it was quite a dull game but we did what we had to do and probably nicked a win even though a draw was a fairer result.

Goes to show how people can see a game differently.

On the chances debate, If you counted scuffed shots, miss hits etc as chances then the count was more even but the chances where you thought 'how didn't they score' or where Luke pulled off a blinding save I think there was only one winner.

The only way you are going to know the actual chance count is if someone was keeping a count at the game OR you have the FULL 90 minutes to watch again as I'm sure Laurence wouldn't be able to put every chance on the highlights.

Also what is seen as a goal scoring by one person on here seems to be different to anothers.

Are we talking on target only, or also off target (For example the shot that went out for a throw in)

To All:-

I'd rather be talking about things like this than, the weather, or should the game of been on/off, he's crap or the ref is this or that.

As it's a forum ,all subjects are relevant regardless,as long as the debates adhere to the forum's rules.

A forum won't be any good if topics are censored and out of bounds.

Of course, there needs to be some tact and diplomacy on touchy subjects but let's not ruin a perfectly good discussion board with nit picking on what subjects are right to talk about and what are deemed not.
