Personally I thought the match was pretty dull.... but three more points in the bag, and a clean sheet.

 

You see a different game to me,Curtis,as I quite enjoyed it,apart from the drenching I got.

 

Thought Arlesey deserved a point but as Slough know,you don't always get what you deserve.

 

Bit surprised that Reece Yorke started, given his head injury but thought he played very well.

 

With Luke Williams and Dan Brown shining,think Tom Moran and Parson brothers deserve a mention for their contributions,too. All three of them gave 100%,whereas a couple of our players seemed to be pretending to get stuck in.

Better not mention them as I will be pounced on by the forum police!

We deserved points from our previous two games and only got one.

I saw plenty of chances for Slough but quite often they were off target or straight at the keeper and the majority of those were second half.

 

I said quite clearly in my post that I thought we were better second half. But could have been two or three down but for Luke's saves first half; those would clearly have changed the game. Hence clear Motm. Many supporters agreed as did both management teams so not quite sure why this seems so contentious Mark.

All I'm saying is you said could of been 3 down and We had chances look at HR photo's I've put up and they were on target,apart from Dan's one which just went over. So if they had 3 good chances so did we.

 

If people are going to take chances as goals then it would of been 4 all at half time, then we had the better of the second half.

Just watched the 22 minutes highlights and it was even first half, but you'd be baffled about the second half as they had better chances than in the first.   Even though the chances over all where I'd say even ish.

I've never ever pick(maybe once)  or in this case mentioned a MOM .

All I saId was we had as many chances, on the basis of you saying we could of been 3 down

We may have had roughly an equal number of chances, but I don't recall the Arlesey keeper having to make remotely as many last ditch saves as Luke.

Martin I never said I disagreed with your MOM I just disagreed with your bit about we could of been 3 down.

Ian take a look at the highlights (or even the pic's earlier) and he does do some last ditch saves

Martin the bit about the 3 down, you've taken their chances and made them goal and forgot to make our chances and made them goals. If every chance was a goal then it would of been (maybe) 4-4 at half time.

No. Because Motm is decided on what actually happened in the game rather than hypotheticals. If everyone took every chance they had we may as well dispense with keepers entirely. Also for some of the chances you are referring to go in the dimensions of the goals would have to increase or people catching the ball on the terraces and hurling it in would also have to count.

Our best chance first half was a goal mouth scramble (aside from the goal) and it is that different in quality of chance that I've been getting at.

 

Second half I was sat in the stand with one of their managers and several of their board who agreed that Luke was man of the match. Perhaps they changed their mind or you spoke to different people.

When I said about in the boardroom I ask them who their mom was from their team,

 

I agree Luke did do them, so when you look at the highlights you'll see their keeper done a foot one and 2 from Ed and Scott where he just got his hands to they might not of been full length but just as important which would of gone in.

 

you'll see in the highlights.       I've got stats (ie save on target blocked shots even a weak daisy cutter from 30 yards, but on target) but will not bore you with them.
