epicrebel   Thats what they are supposed to do but I dont believe most want to be the official who got it wrong  Imagine what would have been said if he had  guessed it would be OK at 1500 and with players officials and supporters all at Holloways Park with all the expense attached  he had got it wrong. I believe they play safe

No it don't work that way IF there is a chance the game could go ahead then the local would let the Match Official decide that when they turn up.

 

Saying that we as in groundsman and me if there is a chance the game could go ahead I wouldn't call in the Local in the first place.

 

I would say it would be a lot easier if the weather forecasters were better at their job, you can go on 3 different sites and they'll all say different forecasts.
