The preview for our match against high flying Camberley is here:

Krooner, are you wandering over tomorrow to join me and VPCTFC? I might even buy you a beer!

Always good to see Camberley, although by the time they make their third visit here at the end of the month, they might have got a bit fed up with the journey!

Cheers NLSoccerette, tough game with a very different (obviously) Cobham side. They will nick points off a few teams towards the end of this season.

Very physical side & can play good football. We controlled the game with myself only having one 'save' to make. Great point for us, keep the pressure on the chasers

What is that all about? One of your supporters I'm guessing Swifty?

Indeed, yes. Ross Cook was trying to get Ashford players booked from very early in the game but, thankfully, the ref took no notice. Cook actually scored a good goal before getting involved in a fracas, after which he did a daft confrontational headbutt and got sent off. Due to his antics while he was on the pitch, Cook got some flak from the crowd. He initially refused to leave the pitch despite the best intentions of a team mate, then he mouthed off and did the hand waving 'come on' antics to some supporters in the seated stand nearest the clubhouse. While finally leaving the pitch after nearly a minute, he must have had some taunting from behind the goal, upon which he vaulted the Tank End wall and tried to punch an Ashford supporter. Huge credit to HW keeper Craig Atkinson and a defender whose name and number I forget who also vaulted the wall to stop any trouble. The village was definitely missing its idiot for the day. Nothing less than a long ban will suffice.

It saddens me, in this ground grading age, that we're about to lose three teams from the CCFL who've kept their identity (i.e. non- ground share) but will lose their places in our league due to ground grading issues, yet two teams who will happily have a half time punch-up, of which one turns up with eight players and then refuse to play, and the other has a  'Stars In Their Eyes' Cantona will keep their place in this league. Various people at the FA and the CCFL need to grow spines and quickly.

I enjoyed my two trips to Knaphill this season and they were welcome visitors yesterday. Good luck to them! Nice people.

Met the Frimley Green manager too. Nice chap.

Swifty your a muppet, why denegrate Hartley Wintney as a Club, that should no longer be in the CCL IN YOUR OPINION.When you praise 2 Hartley players for their actions,in stopping any trouble as you put it escalating. No condemnation of your supporters for their actions ie baiting. As for 3 Clubs  being relegated from the CCL1,they were given ample time to get their grounds up to scratch, but for 1 reason or another, were unable to do so.The sad thing for me,is that Clubs who have got the grading in Div 1, for Promotion to the PremierCould be denied by Clubs  who have not.
