Hornchurch vs Newport

Great day! Good game, had a beer or dozen with Hornchurchmag, Horniman and their mates, cheers guys, Had a good chat with Unc, Georgie Borg, Gary Calder and Andy from the supporters club after the game. Smashing! Now watching Ossuna v Real Madrid, thank your missus for the lift home Hornchurchmag!

As for the game, well played boys, however, unless you’re planning to win this cup, can you make sure you are out of it by the 14th February, as I’m booked in a smart hotel in Bognor with the missus for that night and would hate to cancel our Valentine weekend away!

Understand the Bognor match may clash with a Trophy round.

that's a funny thing to say Ben...we're very proud of our stadium...we've worked hard on it to change it from the old grass field that it once was...

maybe just sour grapes which is understandable given how poor your team were....obviously your manager thought a 5-4-1 formation would make for an entertaining draw....anyway....look on the bright side...that goalie of yours should be playing for england...or would it be wales...

either way if it wasn't for him you'd have lost 6-0.....the game reinforced my opinion that the Ryman Leage Premier is much stronger than the Doc Martins Prem....

anyway...well done for making the long journey and for being such good sports...

we like good losers at the 'crappy' stadium....

It wasn't sour grapes that was the worst game all season even worse than the mangotsfield one.

Seriously why do you have a fancy expensive club hous and well a umm not fancy and expensive ground. As for the ryman being stronger it isn't the top bunch in all of the feeders are good but different to the other feeders there is a sharp drop in ability after the 7th to 10th place.

The reason for one upfront is because we started the season with three strikers ones in hospital and the other one retired on us.

Whats your weekly wage cost?

you are entitled to your opinion on our set up Ben....thank you...

as for a poor game...yes it was from your point of view but from ours another good work out and a chance for George to make changes during the game and experiment...

our weekly wage cost is just a litle less than yours is...

"you are entitled to your opinion on our set up Ben....thank you..."

For god sake I'm not having a go at your ground! Although poor I have seen worse. All I want to know is why the contrast? Clubs that have poor grounds generally have poor facilities however this is not the case with you.

"our weekly wage cost is just a litle less than yours is... "

If you had said that this time last year I would have believed you but I don't believe that to be so this year since that team that played yesterday cost 2000 a week.

And how much of your club is build on revenue? or is it all from your financial anonymous backer?

oh dear...Ben is detirmed to make a nuisance of himself...

okay...I'll bite....firstly Ben I am surprised at your comments on our ground...we like it..we think its great and so do most of the people that come there...over a 1000 seats...(not counting the temp ones behind the south goal...they're for the FA Cup ties against Tranmere next week)...nice directors box to keep the blazers comfy....three sets of new toilets...two burger vans selling quality goodies...the urchins bar for teas and coffees and pies...top quality surface...better than most outside the connie .....and....

all accomodation on the east and west sides under cover and a couple of hundred thousand quids worth of advertising boards around the place...he he... top stuff....

we have'nt been to your home but obviously its fabulous....well done....

as for money...wadda we know...we're just supporters of the BEST pub team in essex....

"The fancy club house/restaurant is part of our revenue stream."

The hell it is you did not buy that on crowds of 500 unless you did some major fundraising or got money from a financial backer. I mean we've raised 100,000 to build our new club house and I doubt it will be that fancy.

"Are you looking for tips/ideas about how to run a decent club?"

Already got one thanks, the fans have built our club from scratch and build it to what it is with know financial gifts all money was earned and we spent yearsd in court and in exile.

"not counting the temp ones behind the south goal...they're for the FA Cup ties against Tranmere next week"

yeh we had one of thoughs against Blackpool, hope it doesn't rain because it is hell sitting in one of those behind a goal in the pouring rain.
