When you play football you have to get used to bad officials and windy conditions overcome them and come out on top.Surely these are the teams we ought to beat if we have ambition.Wonder what the conditions were when they lost 6-0 to Poole ? Still I musn't moan has I was able to combine the game with a visit to my sister who lives nearby so not a total waste of money.

Sometimes these games happen where yes we maybe should of won the game but didn't.

Slough v Millwall ,..,,.,.,. Slough v Walsall ,.,.,.,    Cambridge or Leicester v Man U     just to name one or two

Where does this "teams we ought to beat" come from, no one has that right, every team should be shown respect.

Who would of thought Chelsea, Man City Southampton and Tottenham would of all gone out of the F A cup the other week end, its because its football and these things happen !

No one has the god given right to beat anyone.

I think you've got to realistic as well,Jonblack. We're a non-league team playing in the Southern Premier, not a professional team playing in the Premiership.

Regardless of whatever standard you are at,luck has always played a big part in outcomes of games.Yesterday, fortune wasn't on our side, simple.

We've also just been promoted into this league from lower down, so ALL of the clubs bar the ones that came up with us were already playing at a higher level than we were last season, so none of those clubs should be seen as walk overs.

We are the small club in this league, so should not expect anything other than hard games every time we play a league game.

Some turn out to be easier than others.

I can remember being at a game at Anfield in the mid 80's which Liverpool won 4-0. The team they played completely outplayed Liverpool. In fact they only managed to attack the opposition goal four times, and each time they scored. The other team must have had about 95% of the possession.

As the people there have said above (including me), these things happen sometimes.

The managers can build look back on this and build from it, as they do from any previous game

There's a similar troll to Hotspur/Lino/Jon black on the Watford forum, although it's an MK Dons fan trying to wind people up, which is of course laughable in itself.

People have learned not to give him the oxygen of replying so whenever he posts now people simply ignore him and respond with what they are having for their tea.

So in that vein, I'm having roast chicken at my daughter's place :-)

Oh Jon Black

If he remembers must of been at that game when Slough played at Boreham wood.

Slough had 99.9% of the game when John Beyer what a superb defensive partnership with Geoff Batemam that was at the time scored am own goal.

Slough losing the game they should of won by a country mile.
