GlenSTFC
I'm sure Neil or Jon will explain but wonder if this is a 'stop-gap' (re)signing or George is here permanently?

Martin
Good player, loads of potential was slightly surprised he was allowed to leave in the first place but circumstances seemed to fit at the time. Welcome back George.
Jon Underwood
It was George's decision to leave initially and he was also the one who instigated his return this week. He left us on very good terms and Bakes and I always felt he might play for us again one day, maybe not this soon but football is a funny game like that! As a person and a player he is someone that we both have an awful lot of time for and is popular in the changing room so when he asked to come back and fight for a place it was an easy decision for us. In answer to Glen's question George will be with us until the end of the season at which point myself and Bakes will make our decision on him and everyone else in the squad regarding next season. Ian
Really pleased with this news. Even when he first played for us I rated him and he's a great character to have around the squad. I fully understand the reasons for his departure but isn't it great for a player to come back and say, "I want to play for Slough". Welcome home, Rodney!! C'est la vie
Did George return to Godalming when he left us?
GlenSTFC
He's certainly very committed considering the distance he has to travel for training and matches!
A Rebel and a Saint
Good to have him back, he's a player with a lot of potential but he will certainly have to fight hard with the options we have in midfield. Seems we've also made a 7 day approach for another player.

GlenSTFC
That is what makes his commitment all the more praiseworthy considering he's likely to start as a squad player. But good on him for wanting to fight his way back into the team (hopefully not literally!) this is the type of player a fan wants to see in their team. Interesting who this potential new player might be...

Reading Rebel
7 day approach for a new player, playing for a team in our division. I'd say the odds are on a mid-fielder. Cue 3spirit's call for a big striker

Stuntman Mark
Good to see George back, top lad. Having said that, it's time for him to kick on and grab a place in team and show the form he showed during the run in last year. The talent is there...
