Enfield Town v Dulwich Hamlet

Recommended Posts

After our sublime performance / three goal victory at Maidstone, Town will be looking to carry on where they left off on Saturday, and clinch another win this evening when we host third-placed Dulwich Hamlet at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. KO.7.45pm.

This match promises to be a real cracker. Both teams need the points, both will fancy their chances, and with end-to-end action guaranteed from start to finish, it is definitely a match not to miss.

Town are playing some great football, and will be full of confidence after excellent team performances against Canvey Island and Maidstone United, and will be looking to make home advantage tell by chalking up their third win on the bounce.

Very best of luck to Brad and the boys. Let's do the business guys!

Dulwich could well nick that league as they are a top side and appear to be the form side at the moment.

The other two seem to not have the same consistency recently but it may be the pressure starting to get to them, saying that, people have to take Dulwich seriously now so maybe they may start feeling it a bit more

They are the best side that we have played this season but it still took a clearance that dropped kindly to set them away for the goal.

Agree Andy. By far the best side I have seen this year. Better than Eastbourne. Their running, passing and positional play was superb and Nathan was my man of the match.

If we had lost by 4 it would not have been unreasonable.

The defence played well despite the absence of Kirby and Stanley done his usual holdng job well however the midfield and forwards lost possesion too easily which meant that the defence was under pressure practically throughout the game only coming back into it in the last 5-10 minutes and if we had sneaked a point then it would have been extremely lucky.

Disappointing for everyone but, going by the comments, sounds like we were beaten by a very good side.

No two games are the same, but after the euphoria last Saturday, think there was genuine optimism that we might get something from this match.

Does anyone know whether our missing players will be available for selection this Saturday?

We fielded a stronger line-up against Maidstone..Fancied us for a result if we had played the same starting 11.

Kirby/Devine/Taj? Anyone know why they were absent?

For me,five at the back only works for us if we have Kirbs/Doyle/Claudio as the centre three. Also i believe we need one of the wing-backs to be a pacy wideman (ie..Tyler).

Dulwich's main threat was their two fast wingers, who were invariably up against one of our three centre-backs in a one-sided foot race ( a senario that resulted in their goal.)

I thought Stanley/Tyler/Corey played well and gave everything..Overall the mood on the pitch and in the crowd was stangely lack-lustre.A hangover from the excitement of the maidstone game perhaps.

We are not far off now.A Town team that puts out it strongest line-up and plays well,is now a match for the very best teams in this league.
