Smith definitely got a touch from what i could see before it then hit the defender also. think would be harsh to not give it to Smith

either way he been a superb scorer for us and scoring at a great rate as well. can get a fair few more not only this season but in the next few years hopefully

I will be giving the goal to Ed Smith on the official highlights as I had no idea from my angle/looking through the viewfinder at the time that it 'was' an Own Goal.

I therefore zoomed the camera in on Ed after the ball went in, and not the defender, so it would look a bit silly if I put a caption up saying 'Own Goal' !  ;)

Just on the Smith second goal / own goal, I tweeted that it was an own goal on the basis that Smith did get a head to the cross, but it was not a clean contact and looked to be going wide. The ball then struck the surprised defender and went in. I was in as good a position as any to see it. I was surprised to see it given as a Smith goal personally, but to be credited with all three caps a great performance from him.

Watched the great Bobby Hatt in his hey day playing along side John Delaney the Hartridge brothers and Terry Reardon but did not realise he scored so many goals.
