...not that I'm saying I am poo or anything. But today I got chatted up by a man who was like David Brent after he'd been Tangoed! Seriously, he had a bright orange face, white hair, a dodgy suit, CUBAN HEELS, and horrible aftershave. He kept calling me 'Honey' as well...'I'll have a small latte honey'...'thanks honey'...'don't worry 'bout the change honey' (hmmm...a 15pence tip-gee thanks!).

 

And, when I was waiting for my colleague/mate Dan to make the drink, he started talking to me like he'd known me all his life. He just randomly said 'How have you been doing then..'. It's not that I mind being called Honey or someone being friendly, but he was WELL dodgy.

I got that feeling when I used to work for a car manufacturer and the caller genuinely felt their car was possessed.

 

Just when you think you have found the lowest common denominator, someone pushes it that bit further.

 

I also got called the C word by a gypsy, who I knew to be illiterate. I told him we could not help him and he'd have to write in. I suppose I deserved that!

SteveP, I know what you mean- some customers are right moody c***s! Today I was on till and Dan, who I get on really well with, was on coffee machine. Now because our day is long, and tiring and sometimes boring we like to have the odd laugh and joke, just to pass the time. Some silly old cow who was probably going through the menopuase or something, ordered two drinks and Dan told me the order. We both started laughing cos Dan's ill and couldn't say it properly, and she got really shirty with us, asking us what was so funny. People are so dumb, and it's so frustrating when you can't say anything back to them. What a bitch!
