Southall Vs Winslow apparently loads of surface water...

Referees Currently being contacted to perform Pitch Inspection for 3 / 3.30

Unlikely then. That is a god time as its plenty of time before our lot would have to leave. Do your landlords have any away in games being on or off?

Nope down to the refs and Southall FC.

11am we were told it was playable, Hanwell groundsman contacted the match official to say it had bad cut up areas and then the ref requested a local official to inspect but still no news. Weird.

AFC Dunstable on a roll

Very tough game last night in horrendous conditions. Game was very tight until we scored on the hour and it seemed to knock the stuffing out of them. They had a few influential players missing but still looked very strong and felt they were more dangerous than Kings Langley.

CHESHAM UNITED RESERVES 2-2 HARPENDEN TOWN

Admission & (last) programme £5.00 Tea £1.00 Coffee £1.50 Chips £1.50

Attendance 62 (actually less than that unless they count staff as well)

Rarely are there any problems with Chesham's pitch and despite the rain that arrived in the second half, it held up very well.

Having being flattened 2-6 in the corresponding game last season, this season's batch of recruits to the Chesham army made more of a fist of it by taking a 2-0 lead into half time before suffering an untimely bout of PTSD and allowing Harpenden to snatch a point that they scarcely deserved.

Programme welcomed Risborough Rangers (their previous opponents) but gave Harpenden history and line-up.

Chips crisp and plentiful - for my next and last visit (15 April) I might be tempted to try a burger as well.

Re: [sussexhopper] Wednesday 14th January [In reply to] Can't Post or Reply Privately

107. Wednesday 14 January 2015 - Spartan South Midlands Premier - Attendance: 44

AFC Dunstable (blue and white trim) 2-0 Hertford Town (yellow & black)

Scorers: AFC Dunstable (Hall 56, Silvestri 73)

Pitch: looked good, played well - Weather: horrible, cold biting wind, mixture of rain and sleet

Hertford Town brought beef and brawn, but very little else, as the old boys turned in a good second-half performance. A curious decision in the final minute, as a last-man foul should have given AFC Dunstable a penalty-kick, but the referee changed his mind and awarded a free-kick the other way.

Pen wasn't given as the Doc Brown lookalike linesman told the ref there wasn't any contact and the home player looked for the decision.

Ref did well I thought in terrible conditions and kept the cards to a minimum.
