AMPTHILL TOWN 3-0 HODDESDON TOWN

With the bottom two playing each other, verbal opinion was that Ampthill needed to win this and win they did, although looking at the gap between them and London Tigers (who have six games in hand), I fear that may not be closed much, if at all.

Attendance was down on last week albeit with a slightly higher BOIZ count.

Pies are nice, but not as hot as they could be.

Hopefully we can peg back Kings Langley. Will be very tough though, as they are flying.

Did peg back Kings Langley today. Very solid performance and deserved all 3 points, if only for a very good 1st half performance.Great to see Jermaine Hall bag a brace, as his fitness is returning after missing 12 games due to injury. Big games just keep on coming. Hertford at home Wednesday.

Very similar to Aylesbury United really.

Don't know much about Buckingham ground issue, but Aylesbury were stitched well truly by their chairman! Unfortunately, this is all too common in football and the authorities (FA/Government) appear to have little interest in protecting sports clubs.

On Buckingham Town, heard they had a grant earlier in the season. Don't know what they've done with it because the ground is no better. Last season the pitch was dangerous when dry and remember a club , maybe Pitstone?? refused to play a friendly when they arrived.

Not our best performance today but a solid result.. 2 nil win against a young mobile chesham reserves side.. With goals from ikenna and Sam.. Hopefully this season people will see a better format/ balance within the stony squad and we will become a good team within south mids div 1 for many seasons.. Instead of relegation battles every season.

Ralston Gabriel of Brimsdown scored a hat-trick in 4 mins in their game today

surely some sort of record?

Exactly 4 minutes on the button? ... Robbie Fowler done it in 4 mins 33seconds against Arsenal?

I am sure we will be within the league next season competing again.

Our facilities are not the best but I believe they are adequate to the fa standards for this level.

Although I am sure there are plans to improve the facilities within the club.

Jonno where have you been! Thought you had been kidnapped by Rhodes as you disappeared around the same time!

I've been around pal, the odd post here and there. Busy boy this year!

Not sure if you've been recently Munchkin but Manor Fields in Bletchely where Buckingham play is fantastic now. 100s of seats.

Would make a great ground for a step 5 club, or even step 4

There will be a side playing there but it won't be Buckingham Town the owner wants an MK club there, whether that means swallowing up what remains of Buckingham Town (really the name only) and then changing it to an MK or Bletchley. Cannot believe Buckingham Town would be eligible for a grant!!!!! Absolute farce if they have been given one

Due to suspensions, absentees & injuries, Hertford Town were forced to play C.Evans today.

Allegedly, the Gaffa didn't want to but he got him drunk and he played anyway . . .

What was the Stable Ends view on the Wembley FC set up? And did they make some noise at the covered end?

We made some noise at both ends and yes, VERY impressed with the Wembley FC setup.

Shame we had so many 1st team players out or we might have contested the game a bit more.

At least 9 top picks injured or suspended so a mixture of last-minute signings & kids put out with others played out of position to plug the gaps.

Stayed to watch the Palace v Spuds game in the smart clubhouse after the game and had some good banter in the comfortable leather chairs.

I just wish our committee were as ambitious as Wembley's then we might actually start getting somewhere.

Their facilities, pitch, clubhouse and team are all on the up . . . promotion beckons for them without doubt in this season or the next.

BDC - Surely you guys have got to be targeting promotion soon?
