Reading Rebel
Just phoned Histon and spoke to the groundsman. Pitch is OK at present, although he did say worth checking tomorrow moming, in case of any heavy overnight rain. Needed to check as I have to buy a rail ticket today, but looking good for tomorrow (so far). Hope you didn't waste your money WR.
Reading Rebel
Interesting that the game is off when the pitch was apparently ok yesterday then overnight with no rain forecast except a bit this morning, it's suddenly unplayable. I was up in the storm hit North West earlier and have not seen or heard any rain since about 6am, including while I have been travelling back down this morning. Hopefully not too many other Slough fans had started travelling. Sometimes teams just need to get a game called off
Jon Underwood
Really disappointing obviously from our point of view that the game was called off but the lads trained hard instead and we are all looking forward to the challenge of Weymouth next weekend! Real positive today that Foulser got through 90 minutes for Sandhurst with no issues and also that we managed to get games for Yorkie at Ashford and Tom at Ascot. Absolutely fantastic news about Foulser getting through 90 minutes. I think he will be a major player for us next season. For me Yorkie, in the early stages of the season, along with Dobbo, were the front runners for player of the season, so it's great to see that Yorkie is on the comeback trail!
