Reading Rebel
Despite the rain we've had let's hope the pitch at Histon is OK for tomorrow's game.

Windsor Rebel
Just phoned Histon and spoke to the groundsman. Pitch is OK at present, although he did say worth checking tomorrow moming, in case of any heavy overnight rain. Needed to check as I have to buy a rail ticket today, but looking good for tomorrow (so far).

Rebel Kay
I will post as soon as I hear following the inspection in the morning. If it passes the inspection its then fingers crossed the rain stays away until 5pm
Reading Rebel
Just phoned Histon and spoke to the groundsman. Pitch is OK at present, although he did say worth checking tomorrow moming, in case of any heavy overnight rain. Needed to check as I have to buy a rail ticket today, but looking good for tomorrow (so far). No rain forecast overnight. Only rain forecast for tomorrow is between 9 and 10 and is forecast as 'light' so fingers crossed.
RebelDelaney
Warren if game is on and you go then you must go in there club house and get a view of the pitch from there. After discussion on other thread about having a clubhouse on ground level or upstairs the view is superb just do hope they have beer stocked up as there was none when we played Cambridge there a couple of months back. Sir Rebel1965
If game is on it looks like the wind will play a factor as it looks like it will be from the car park corner across the pitch, so would be worth playing the ball on the ground. A Rebel and a Saint
Interesting that the game is off when the pitch was apparently ok yesterday then overnight with no rain forecast except a bit this morning, it's suddenly unplayable. I was up in the storm hit North West earlier and have not seen or heard any rain since about 6am, including while I have been travelling back down this morning. Hopefully not too many other Slough fans had started travelling.
Rebel Kay
They had a heavy downpour this morning. Added to what was already going to be a questionable hence the need for a pitch inspection. TBH clubs cannot win in this situation. If we had travelled and then it had been unplayable everyone would have been up in arms.
GlenSTFC
All pitch related postponements do make the call for 3/4G pitches a lot louder. I still prefer grass but can also see the benefits of the alternative especially in instances recently with the postponed Burnham home match where we could have expected 350-400 in attendance but now will probably lose a good 100 off that for the rearranged match. In our own ground, 100 fans would equal nearly £1,000 in total revenue.
