Tamworth faithful

For al those fans who turned up at Tamworth, what a great treat was served up to us.

Howarth was not dropped only rested due to his yellow card count, and we cannot afford to be without him on Dec 6th.

Dennis Oli was great, very fast and a player with skill and a brain, he fitted in really well and made life so much easier for our midfield players. Eddie slotted in for the missing Skin and although a little ring rusty, played OK.

The rest of the team were applauded off by the Tamworth supporters who to say the least are not happy with the manager. He keep't the players on the pitch for a good ten minutes after the game , he says to publicly tell them off, from where we were standing with the Tamworth fans prior to leaving it looked as though he was hoping that all the fans waiting to tell him what they thought may have got fed up and gone. No, wrong! they waited, so the players were freezing cold and then had to listen to the fans shouting abuse at the Manager, Great end to the day for them. The Tamworth fans were very fair and like us last season are finding it hard to adjust after winning so well before promotion . One chap said that he has supported the team for years and Saturday was the first time he had not worn his Tamworth shirt. They say the Manager is out of his depth, and has not any idea of what he should do next. .

Our lads made once again a lot of friends on Saturday. Well done to each and every one of them.

Also the singing was great. Once again, the few making themselves heard. Lets hope on Tuesday that the singing goes on through the game, with encouragement, and does not go silent if things are not going to plan.

You may wish to borrow our new song from Saturday. ( But it will cost you) Please see my other post.

I quite agree with you Jessica, although as Eddie hadn't played in the first team for some time l think he did better than OK. It may have helped him that Tamworth didn't pose any great threat, but he was very steady and didn't appear to panic as he has on previous occassions.

As for Dennis Oli, what a breath of fresh air, he gave us so many more options. With his pace he must be a nightmare for defenders to deal with, hopefuuly he can strike up a lethal partnership with Ben as l assume they've played together at QPR.

Well done all round to Saturdays team, now lets get it right at home and stick it up the daggers!
