johnnojudo
Just want to say best of luck to our old friends AFC Wimbledon tonight who take on Liverpool. Was just reminiscing to 12 years ago when I walked out in front of 4'000 wombles fans at Kingsmeadow. Got beat 5-3 but a great experience. It's a fantastic story going from ccl prem 12 seasons ago and now facing Liverpool in the 4th round of the Fa Cup.
Smudge
This is like watching Camberley surely, get that ball in the air, when teams cannot defend set pieces.Come on you Wombles!!!!
CCL Follower
Ask the AFC fans if they'd mind beating Liverpool playing 'lump it' football. I don't think they would mind. It's aload of rubbish. You win a football match by any means possible. At the end of the day, that's the only thing that matters.
Savagebee
Went to Wimbledon's last ever game at Plough Lane against Crystal Palace who beat them 0 3 stood behind the goal in the Wimbledon End think Ian Wright scored a hatrick in that game. Plough Lane was a proper Non League Football ground right up to the end.
TRS
Wonderful night, so proud of the team! 12 years ago this weekend we drew 2-2 at home to Southall (happy days!) I was at that game Savagebee, behind the goal and it was indeed an Ian Wright hat trick - didn't even realise it was the last game until afterwards. Different times then, no internet. Managed to take in some reserve games that were still played there for a few years after. Much missed, as someone once said it was a dump but it was our dump.... Eastside Urchin
I went to the first division one (now prem) game that Wimbledon played at home against Arsenal, remember think we (arsenal) won 5-0 and Merson got a couple or even a hat trick, think it was 88/89,although I may be slightly wrong and I remember my dad saying "they (Wimbledon) won't be in this league for long" but how wrong he was!!! If I was a Wimbledon fan/player I would obviously be proud of their performance tonight but also annoyed that you didn't actually take them to a replay, and possibly even won it on the night
Big J R
I thought Wimbledon gave a very good account of themselves last night.

Wimbledon had a decent season that last season at Plough Lane if I remember right. Still got the programme form that last game and they did a big A4 size programme back in the day. The biggest stand at Plough lane was the away end which always made me laugh.
