Planning Application

RR as i said earlier on the thread i was standing with WR when Rob Anderson said no final decison will not be made until the summer.

Then we will have a new goverment who will have alot more on there plate.

I think this story could be running longer than we hope.

RD, It might still be the Conservatives in power and what final decision will not be made until the summer?

RD, as far as I'm aware the Planning Application went to Eric Pickles at the end of November and after talking to Windsor Rebel at the Chesham game, he said to his knowledge the Government had 13 weeks to reply to the application.

The Trust statement on this got a massive response from the twitter post about it, the second highest day of website views. If you haven't seen it yet it's on the Trust news page, and I believe it will be in the local papers this week.

Can only be temp buildings then in that timescale, considering the full go ahead hasn't been given they must be pretty confident? Maybe we can start building too!!!!

Even with temporary buildings, they still need proper amenities etc. and none of this can happen until the Planning Application is signed off by the Government.

As you say they must be confident things will move very quickly for them to be up and running by September.

Of course there are already buildings on the site maybe they will use those for the time being

An artificial playing surface for the new Community Sports Complex is definitely the way to go.

Cambridge City's new stadium complex is due to be finished by Summer 2016.

They are having an Advanced Hybrid surface made of natural grass with reinforced synthetic fibres.

I know the cost factor might play a part but could be worth looking into?
