We're not going to get any answers on this until there's an official statement from the club and/or council so really there's no point in any further querying!

 

 

But Glen, we were told by our Chairman that a second meeting had been arranged with the Council, within a few weeks, and that we would be informed of the outcome of that meeting.

Meeting might have been cancelled or it did take place and there's nothing new to report? I too would love to know what's going on but constantly asking questions on here (I mean everyone) isn't going to get the answers we want so all we can do is sit tight and wait.

Maybe a statement from the Chairman of the current position is due to stop this speculation.

Everyone should know by now that what I am informed by the Council and then what follows are often completely different and in many cases do not reconcile. For myself personally it can be (and has been) quite embarrassing as keeping everyone informed as best I can is a complete nightmare. Also experience always tells me that when I do relay information I already know that there's a reasonable likelyhood that what I am being told won't actually happen or pan out as expected. Indeed I cannot remember the last time it did!

 

I have been chasing the Council over the past couple of weeks - Whilst delayed, we do now have a meeting agreed for mid July - when the club will receive an update as to where we are.

Thanks Steve - we are all getting frustrated with how long it is taking the council to process this community improvement for the town which will benefit so many groups.

 

Time now for the council to deliver.

com on lads it's only been ten years, it generaly takes councils/committees longer than that to decide what biccies they are to have at the next meeting to decide when to have the next meeting

I can't raise your hopes, but after Dorking F.C. seemed on the point of having a custom built ground the season after next, ONE District Council Committee has thrown the whole thing back to ANOTHER Committee for scrutiny and re-consideration.

 

You couldn't make it up, could you ?
