Slough v Dorchester

Could have scored 3 in first 20 mins. Deserved to go one up, just a shame we didn't capitalize on it.

I was standing in the Shed, from where I was, clearly looked like Jake error for their goal, which then gave them confidence.

Although I am a big fan of Smith and thought he worked hard again today, pleased he got taken off, before the ref sent him off. Right choice by the gaffers, although Smith was very disappointed to go off (hard choice, but right one imo). You know the writing is on the wall, when their players are doing everything they can to try to get the ref to send him off.

As the game went on, I honestly thought they might nick it, but great threw ball to Dyer for the winner.

Thought all the team worked hard today and another 3 points on the board.

Three points , deserved over 90 minutes................also agree with the decision to bring off Ed , really for his own sake and not because of anything to do with his play. Some nice neat passing today and should mention the way Sear captains the side with both example and encouragement.

MOTM--Jake Parsons, hardly a missed pass all day and great crossing when needed.

Great response for the minute of applause for Chris.

Is it just me (probably), but Sear reminds me of Toni Krus (however its spelt). In looks, build and composure on the ball.

Some lovely words spoken about Chris before kick off, and good to see his dad at the match. Thanks to the Dorchester players, management and supporters for their support with the minute of applause.

As for the game itself, had we been clinical early on it could have been a comfortable victory, but ultimately happy to come away with three points in one of those matches that could have easily gone the other way.

Apologies to all concerned for my little one making himself heard throughout. Blame Martin

Excellent minutes applause for Chris Boxall and good to see his Dad at the game.

I thought we played some excellent stuff for the first 20 minutes and really should have been at least a couple of goals up.

An unfortunate gifted goal for Dorchester which gave them some belief and for the rest of the half it was nip and tuck.

We came out firing second half and showed some real fighting character, culminating with an excellent through ball from Kroos Searsy to DJ who stuck it away for a thoroughly deserved winner.

Good call to take Ed Smith off as the Dorchester players were determined to get him sent off and the Ref seemed like he was falling for their antics.

I thought Dorchester played well and will certainly climb the table if they can continue playing like that.

A few candidates for MOTM in Ryan and Jake Parsons, Rummy and Searsy.

For me it was Searsy who ran the midfield, provided the killer ball for the winning goal and showed us that he is still a top player.

Surprised no one has mentioned Scott Harris,I thought he was excellent today,my Man of the Match. Also thought Luke Knight had a great first half, although not as enterprising in the second 45 but definitely one of his better games in a Slough shirt.

Also thought Sean Fraser and Ben Edwards had decent games.

Could go through all our team,as didn't think any of our players were off the pace today and it was pleasing how well we played,up until their rather soft equalizer, but least we dug in for the best part of the second half and got our rewards.

Our second was a class move and a worthy winning goal.

Think I would have disappointed had we not won the game today,as I thought Dorchester were an organised, spirited side but didn't think they offered much of a goal threat.

For me,Slough were the better side and deserved the 3 points.

Let's hope for more of the same, or to play even better, when we meet our bogey side,Chesham on Boxing Day to get the win.

Unusual for me not to concur with your MOTM,Reading Rebel. Just goes to show how well we played as a team.

I thought we were well worth the three points yesterday. Except for a spell after their goal we were well on top for most of the game and we probably should have killed the game off a bit earlier. Having missed some of our recent away trips I'd say it was the best we have played in a while - I'm sure Chris Boxall would have enjoyed that performance. COYR!

rr the way you were going on about how good the ref was i thought you were going to make him your man of the match,

For the first 20 minutes I thought the Ref was one of the best I'd seen this season (meaning he concurred with all my decisions  ;)) but it didn't last and it was all downhill from then onwards.

Seriously, I thought he did OK until he got sucked into Dorchester's attempts to get Ed Smith sent off.

Good performance and there were spells where we we were knocking the ball around well and played some decent stuff. Flew out of the blocks and should have been two up early on but there were some nervy minutes after they scored but felt we were largely in control.

Very impressed with Sear and Edwards as a midfield combo and think Sear has taken to the captaincy very well. Rummy was excellent filling in at centre half alongside a typically solid performance from Hollis. Thought Ryan Parsons was excellent, what a signing he was last season. Really helped as kick on at the right time.

The shift Scott Harris put in was immense, last season I think injuries really hampered him but this season we are truly seeing all that he has to offer.

Hard to select a man of the match but we were well worth the points.

Very tricky game up next against Chesham who we have an appalling recent record against (lost 11 of the last 12) so seems like a good time to put that right.

COYR
