Careful Karen remember your last gag about a club didn't go down to well!!

I'm sure the good people at St Margaretsbury Football Club have a sense of humour with regards to my tongue in cheek comment

Yeah, good luck with that Karen!

Me & the St.Mags guys share the same sense of humour.

We have to share as they don't have one.

Credit to Codicote for the result on Saturday. First goal was a worldie that i still couldn't save if i had another go, from there they played a very professional game and countered well from a solid base. We were well off form, maybe too many players thinking about their xmas travels, but after 2 good wins i didn't see that performance from us coming.

The ref seemed to dislike any physical contact, and clearly the shoulder barge has been expunged from the game, a tradegy for the purist.

One error - the Herts FA have no power to award points that will be the decision of the SSML Committee who can now hear the case as it has been dealt with by Herts FA

That is a joke surely? If the entire CCTV footage had been handed over, the reason for the players leaving the pitch would have been very, very clear and further sanctions would have been incurred for the way the visiting fans (including kids, women & OAP's) were treated on the day by home fans, players, officials and staff. I suspect some superb editing has occurred here if they're clearing Jets on this basis.

Competition Rule 8.3.4

In the event of a match being abandoned due to the conduct of one Club or its members or supporters the Board had the power to order that the match is not replayed and to award either one or three points to the Club not at fault. It cannot levy a financial penalty due to the Conduct of a Club.

I will go thermonuclear if Hertford Town are penalised in any way following this investigation. Not saying we were completely blameless on the field and the two red cards were probably deserved but the behaviour of the Jets fans/officials/players was disgusting to the point that young girls attending their first SSML away game, 80-yr-old patrons and women were all targeted in the car park completely aside from the on-field issues. No excuse for that at any level and I defy anyone who loves our game to argue differently.

BDC.

I can't disagree at all with your final comments, but, unless I'm mistaken, the Herts FA hearing related simply to the game being abandoned, and who was as at fault for that?

It appears, from the newspaper article (but who believes everything you read in the papers) that Hertford were at fault, and as Karen says it is now down to the SSMFL Committee to decide what to do about the outcome of the game. The two most likely options, if Hertford have been found to have caused the abandonment, are to award the game to Oxhey or to have the game replayed. If it's the latter, there may be a points deduction for Hertford?

The behaviour of the Oxhey supporters and officials in the car park towards the Hertford contingent - presumably well after the game had been abandoned - would be the subject of a different hearing, if it has been reported?

However, until the Herts FA adjudication is made public, everything is just speculation.

Oh dear. Looks like Hertford have overtaken St Mags as the bully boys of the SSMFL. Finally we can put toiletgate to rest, safe in the knowledge that Hertford probably were to blame

This is a newspaper story in their local paper no doubt based on info provided by Oxhey Jets people. Just wait till the official story comes out. I was right by the incident. It was crystal clear where the aggression originated from.
