Southall 4 Amersham Town 2

Southall were the better team and deserved the 3 points and they should have scored more to be honest.

E.Teberen scored a hatrick and the ever dependable L.Baldwin scored the fourth Southall goal.

Amersham Town huffed and puffed and scored a very well worked first goal to take the lead but with man mountain T.Jinadu at the back for Southall a struggling team like Amersham Town were never going to get many chances to score.

A very good point blank save in the first half from D.Cassells and another 3 points for Southall FC.

As 1st team off, had a chance to watch our reserves beat league leaders Stony Stratford 8-0. Very impressed with a very young side.

That is a very impressive result against our reserves, was expecting a close game. Surely a few of those first teamers without a game were involved.... If not, a really impressive result!!

Hertford Town go marching on, 10 league games unbeaten now with a comfortable 3-1 home win over Hadley today graced by the SSML legend that is Karen Browne.

Good to meet another forum acquaintance face-to-face today and hope the Hertford Town Xmas hospitality didn't leave you too broken!

Just a few points away from the leaders with games in hand now. Looking promising with games against the league strugglers to come.

COYB!

To be fair no. 2 fringe 1st teamers had a run out but was mainly all the reserve players. We feel it unfair on the reserve squad to do so.

Fair play to you - great result. Not such a good day for us - 2 games, 2 defeats, 11 conceded, 0 scored. Both sides been on good runs so hopefully just a reality check for us.

Good win for our first team, heard the 4th was an absolute screamer! into the semi finals of the Div 2 cup, it has been a few seasons since we have been there . Team in good form at the moment and made a difference welcoming 6 players who missed last week. Hale Leys will win it , but race for second looks interesting. Massive derby at Christmas against New Bradwell, which should be a good game.

Reserves on the face of it a heavy defeat against totternhoe, but relatively pleased as average age was about 20 with 4 16 year olds making their debuts and doing well. Will be a tough season overall but the aim is to use the youth and get them used to men's football and hopefully ready for the first team in a couple of years.

Excellent hospitality at Hertford and they fully deserved their win with a stunning second half display.

Good to meet you BigDogCol.

Fully agree - Thought Southall were the better team in the first half, but defended sloppily for the two Amersham Goals and so came in at half time 2-2. The second went more to form and with Edison Terberen scoring his second Hattricks in the last two games, Southall are beginning to look a really strong outfit and whilst It's too easy to say if only the manager had come in earlier - "but if only he had ????

Some decent photos and match report on our website from ETFC GAME

Just got back from a wifi free week in the Lake District and catching up with the scores on the doors. 6-1 with England powerleague player Ballsy scoring 4? Definatly paying over that place. Was that Morton fella playing for them? He'll be on dough.
