Slough 1-2 Dulwich

Crap first half. Exciting second where we deserved a point in my opinion.

We were down to ten-men after 4 minutes when Adrian Brown pulled back a striker in the penalty area. He was sent-off and Dulwich scored the penalty.

Second-half they score a fluke when Freedie clears the ball, but the ball hit the strikers leg and went past Fozzy.

Hodgy pulls one back with a bullet header (he was excellent today easily MOM) then Boot hits the bar with a header and Spence misses a sitter from a yard almost identical to the one he missed against Stortford.

New centre back (forgot his name - anyone remember? Looks like a good signing) played well and we were unlucky.

New centre back - Martin Moller. Thought he had a good game and looked better than Daly/Gyoury/Murphy on first appearances in terms of his distribution from the back.

Funniest moment in the second half was Radders getting most upset when Chris S didn't think Spencer was clearly Man Of The Match. Made me laugh anyway!

I was proud as punch today our team were superb !

did not give up even though, things were not going our way with some very very dodgy decisions from the ref .....( !\!*****'''!!!)

Last year the team would have just given up !

WELL DONE SLOUGH !!!!!

Dulwich though they won had nothing to sing about and were the team that were glad the whistle went to save them from embarrasment ......

Proud that Slough are my Team....

Not impressed by Browne getting himself sent off in the 4th minute. 1-0 down from the resulting penalty, but we played surprisingly well afterwards, especially in the second half. Not as impressed by the new signing as the others--didn't look very fit to me, but its early days yet. We probably deserved a draw, but didn't get one.

I didn't see very much of our new signing, but at least our defence didn't look as dodgey as usual (apart from the fact that their marking is terrible). Hodge was supurb. I'm telling you, if he doesn't win MOTM, there's no justice!

I wasn't very impressed by the fact that the Dulwich players went sliding in our direction when we made our way around the ground. They were celebrating as if it was their cup final! It reminds me of the Marlow game...

It isn't over yet, at least don't take that attitude. We still have a chance in my opinion, but we will have to keep up the good work. I still think our defence needs improving though.

COME ON YOU SLOUGH!!!!

I was especially disappointed with Boot. At 1-0 down and with 10 men, we needed him to be at his liveliest, and he wasn't. Didn't link up well with Miller in the first half when Hodge went to centre back (but we've discussed the Boot-Miller partnership before). Overall very disappointing, what were you thinking Adie Brown???

There was still a slight chance he may have miscued his shot or Fossie may have saved it. As Roger said at the match, let him have the shot in the third minute. If you go a goal behind that early, you've still got 87 minutes to pull one back whilst still even on players.

Wasn't going to be our day.

Exactly right, just let him shoot. He may have ballooned it or Foster could have pulled off a save, and then we've got the rest of the game to try and win it. After all it wouldn't have been the first time Slough Town went behind early at home would it !

Yes it is disappointing to lose and I don't think we deserved to. Personally I think our side has less ability than last seasons squad BUT and this is the important thing there is a lot more team spirit and willingness to win which is what you want much more important - we never gave up and played really well. I think we can make it top six and we must get behind the lads on Tuesday against Walton.

I would have liked to see Hodgey up front or Seedel brought on as I thought Booty and Miller who worked hard but were no match for them in the air. Also would have been good to see Alex Haddow in centre mid where he had been excellent, but Nick must not have been that fit as I guess he would have been brought on as sub and Alex moved into midfield.

Well played lad despite the defeat.

hi domm dave here. hope allright. some of you were a bit wound up i do not know how i stayed reasnerbly calm because the ref was so one sided sending brown off and letting six and seven fall barge and wrestle past us. you would of thought somebody from duwich could easily have gone if incedents sceane. brown was naugtey and cost us the game but the ref could have yellow ccarded him and we all were punshed team and suporters maybe a refs enquire to what he missed of felt no affence. home soked to the skin like us drouned supporters and disapionted as also i think the ref may have blown early too being fed up with the weather. ow well speek on here and see you all on tuesday for another soaking at walton if the match goes ahead with the news on this site that many matches sucombed to the weather. also hi brighton rebel maybe see you at walton or croyden if not desimated by the weather. wet wet wet.

Potentially the best player in the Division, but somehow fails to deliver far too often. Was better than he has been recently on Saturday, seemed to want to be involved more, but I would certainly agree with the Swedish Rebels and say that Hodge was man of the match looking back on it.

Spence has arguably more natural ability than anyone else in the squad, However, to be the best player you have to apply yourself and he appears to let himself down too often on that front. Still a player I'd much rather see in the team than out though.

Now if you could combine Ryan's ability with Hodgey's work rate........
