dont worry slaughtercat is no Bedford fan, if you had seen the game Saturday you would have been hard pressed to spot the team who was top for the first 20 - 30 mins. We put everything into the game, same as we did in the 3-3 at your place, if our top scorer had have been fit we might even have sneeked something out of the game. as for throwing the game, i am ******* disgusted by the suggestions that my team would do it, we try and win every game (hard to belive after the first 7 games i know) and personally i wouldnbt watch a team that would throw away a game to hinder anoughter team.

As a fellow Eagles fan at that match it was obvious to all those 1743 watching that Justin Griffiths' miss was just that, a miss that was made by a player getting a rare chance (at our biggest attendance except for the FA cup) to start after an injury to kevin slinn, and trying to impress - to earn a contract for next season.

If he was trying to miss i'm sure he wouldn't have rounded the keeper first and then aimed it off the crossbar to make it less obvious.<p>As for slaughtercat's comments, his insultive comments on our own messageboard against other eagles fans show what sort of "fan", if you can call that, he is, he's been removed, and i hope that his sort of contribution to your message board is ignored as an attempt to rile you canvey fans beyond friendly banter.<p>However the whole match was taped by BBC Kent (i think) so evidence is available if anyone wishes to believe the comments of someone who unfortunately purports to be a Bedford fan.<p>Please see our message board for real eagles' comments on slaughercat<p>web page

I was at the game and can confirm that Bedford certainly gave their all, if they were going to lay down it would have been more than 0-1, but even if Canvey fans want to think otherwise its totally irrelevent as they lost at Braintree who like Bedford are a great club, best wishes to both for next season.

Merv, whoever the message is aimed at I was simply confirming, as other people have done, that its untrue.

What Frenchy did or didn't say is neither hear or there neither is whether slaughtercat or whatever he calls himself is a total knob head.

My last comment did start with the word IF, I assume you understand what that means, and yes SOME Canvey fans were gratious in defeat.

I'll disregard your last comment I can't be bothered with petty personal abuse, you usually find people resort to that because they've nothing else to say, though I'm taking more than a five minute break as unlike some I don't sit in front of a PC all day I do have a life!

OK. Say two Hail Mary's and I'll forgive you.<p>Merv said to John, "Don't be a prat all your life John, take a five minute break now and again."<p>John replied to Merv, "I'm taking more than a five minute break."<p>Right, I'll be more generous. Don't be a prat all your life John, take a ten minute break now and again.

For goodness sake John, read the thread before you dive in. You are so keen to go Canvey bashing, shame to let the facts spoil your vitriol.<p>The message at the top of the thread is aimed specifically at me and says, "...we threw the game away to let the fleet win." It's signed, "from henry rollins, bedford fan, although he registered himeself as slaughtercat.<p>Frenchy, a Canvey fan, replied to the effect that making such a statement could well do damage to both Bedford FC and their fans, if it were true.<p>Both Blue Eagle and Non Leagle (Bedford fans) came on to deny any suggestion of the game being thrown, a view with which I totally agree. Slaughtercar/Henry Rollins is a total knob-head and if you look at any of his other postings you would have to agree.<p>Your comment, "if Canvey fans want to think otherwise," is totally unsubstantiated. Nobody from Canvey has ever suggested that Bedford rolled over. If you were to read the vast majority of postings after Saturday's results I think you will see that Canvey fans were gratious in defeat and gave both praise and congratulations to Gravesend.<p>Don't be a prat all your life John, take a five minute break now and again.
