Can we be play-off challengers....

According to Slough Council's website, they aim to process applications within the statutory periods:

8 weeks for a minor application

13 weeks for a major application

16 weeks for applications accompanied by an environmental impact assessment

I'm guessing the plan falls into the final category, starting from the end of November/start of December.

Don't wish to piss on anyone's chips but our application was registered last May and still hasn't been decided. But you might expect a council to manage its own business better.

As Steve has mentioned he will inform us all once there is a bit more info, which I would guess may be in the New Year, so probably wise to leave in his capable hands, and we will know when we know, at the end of the day things are finally happening, and after all the years of nothing then this has to be a good thing.

So lets enjoy the fact the council are behind our stadium bid, and with some luck we will soon be back in Slough.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Had a look at Maidstone's website, there's a good video with interviews with players & manager regarding their 3G pitch jand matches showing how the pitch plays. The ground in fact loks not dissimilar to the plans we've seen of ours. Encouraging......

Regarding the planning application, if you go here:-

http://www2.slough.gov.uk/swiftlg/apas/run/wphappcriteria.display

And enter 'Arbour Vale' in Location, and date range from and to '04/12/2014'.... you will see the application listed 'APPLICATION FOR FULL PLANNING PERMISSION FOR THE ERECTION OF A COMMUNITY STADIUM'.

There aren't any supporting documents in the Media Items tab yet though.

Supporting documents are now in the Media Items tab, and some drawings can be seen in the (06) section.

Looks great although I can't find a bar in any of those plans!!

I could see a cellar! Plans look impressive.Crossing my fingers and toes!

I would guess convenience mainly for having the bar on the ground floor, plus not crowding the lift/staircase which could be a H&S nightmare!

Trouble with it being on the ground floor would mean 2 bars, as the 1 upstairs does both bar and boardroom.

A lot of the new grounds I've been to they are up stairs.

As Warren has said upstairs would be good the view at Histons ground when we played Cambridge there recently was superb.

But lets get the ground first.
