v St Neots

With our injuries and unavailability we are really up against it tomorrow night. No pressure on the players, just give it your best shot and see what happens.

Reading the St Neots forum, they've signed a wide left player in David Hutton from Dunstable to give themselves some much needed width, and by all accounts most of their goals on Saturday came from wide positions. Could be a busy night for Ryan and Sean.

Looking forward to finally welcoming you back to Rowley Park.

Safe trip up to anyone making the trip, if you're coming on the train there is a new footbridge linking the train station to the football club side of the estate so no long walk round anymore.

A very good result tonight and one I definitely didn't see coming (I'm sure I wasn't the only one!). Just the confidence booster needed after the last two results, let's hope we can go on another mini unbeaten run.

O Ye of little faith Glen   ;)

I had every confidence and had us down to win in the prediction league    by default   :D

Not only a great result but a fantastic performance. That was one of those "I was there" games.

Every single player was superb this evening. In the first half playing with the strong wind behind I thought we were a little guilty at times of not retaining possession again but we grew in confidence. Never gave them a second on the ball.

Fully deserved the half time lead and it could have been more had the referee been less lenient with some major holding of our players in the box from set pieces.

Second half we defended superbly again, Somers was magnificent when called upon and the defence coped admirably. We had chances to extend the lead and again looked more assured as the half went on. We are becoming a bit of a bogey team for the Newts.

Matty Spring spent most of the game for them just spraying passes around from the middle of the park and I was hugely impressed with their number 6 who marshalled things at the back.

A really great win and despite all of their riches that result puts us only 5 points behind them.

Must admit at 3-0 up half-time with that wind I thought they could easily get back into that - especially when you can call on Frater, Roberts, Dillon & Mackey up top.

However I thought second half we were even better. We kept it on the floor very well and put some great moves together, which we've not done at all of late.

Everyone was superb, but a special mention to Rummy playing in a position that's not his real one.

Have to agree with Ian, much like the surprise 4-0 win at Rugby on a Thursday night about 18 months ago, we can all say "I was there".

We did so will first half to build the lead with some very well taken goals and restricted St Neots to very little throughout the whole match. Second half we did get in and around the box several times to cause then some trouble.

Great work rate from all the players to keep paying St Neots all night, credit ti the lads everyone played so well on a night where most expected us to lose.

Thought that been Edwards had a great game, as did Hollis and Sear, but it's so hard to really pick out best played from a fantastic team performance.

And not a Slough corner in sight ;)

Just what we needed after the last two games. Won't be there Saturday so hoping for more of the same. COYR!
