cup of tea
At the end of the day it was a point against a decent side so I shouldn't really complain but we got our noses ahead and could of sneaked our first home win in the league. George and Martin worked really hard up front. As usual, we let in a scrappy goal. Attendance, wow less than 100. Oh dear. Oh well onwards to Saturday. Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
Shocking attendance for a league game tonight. A point well taken against a physical side. Agree that Martin and George worked hard up front. Not sure i agree with the substitution of Martin but if there is a knock involved then fair enough. I would say that we looked a little weaker once he had been taken off. Another hard game at the weekend, but hopefully we can get something from it. Even if it is a point. Lord Upminster
The attendance figure is disappointing but we are struggling and the quality of football on display is not easy on the eye. Even though I will be back on Saturday cheering the Urchins on you cannot blame people for staying away while our poor form continues. Here’s hoping for our first home win in the league at the weekend........... Come On You Urchins
Eastside Urchin
It's a Tuesday game against a low key side 3 weeks before xmas, people have xmas parties and money to save before xmas so I wouldn't bother getting knickers in a twist over the attendance

Eastside Urchin
It don't but not worth worrying about given the proximity to xmas and other factors
ProgEd
Of course it's worrying when we have eight home games even closer to Christmas, one side of it or the other. It was always going to be a difficult time once fixtures had to be rearranged from the start of the season. Well done to the Eastsiders for creating some atmosphere; next time, bring your friends! Fat Tom Daley
A game which they could have been 2-3 goals up before half time if Mott didn't have a blinder but we worked hard and got a well earned point. Thought Tuohy had a quality game aswell before he was taken off. Only can presume it was an injury? Thought it was a cracking sing song last night and their Twitter account said this "@metpolicefc: @RavitAnand @AFCHornchurch They make enough noise though! Great songs although the one about 'Harry' goes on a bit!" Keep it rolling on Saturday.

jammyboy
I think the low attendance is due to our style of play and possibly that news of the incident in Dorset post match has started to spread. I noticed that the forum has been censored and all posts referring to the incident have been removed. Surely this cannot be right? Action must be taken. cup of tea
We've not been at our best this season, that's a given. Whilst I'm a believer of freedom of speech, I would suggest contacting the club directly if you have an issue rather than trying to rubbish the club on an open forum. Your choice though. Lord Upminster
I personally did not like the direction the so called removed thread was taking but I do not agree with censorship. I have an opinion, I do not take everything at face value so tend to make my own mind up on matters This is supposed to be an open forum with no formal links to the club, Being inward looking and censorship is not the way forward and is leading in my opinion to Falling membership of the forum and it becoming very stale. Its only my opinion, and I don’t expect everyone to agree.
cup of tea
Agree that censorship is not the way forward, forum becomes stale otherwise as you say. I wouldn't dream of telling someone not to post anything (not that my opinion matters anyway) but I am concerned about the future of the club and would ask posters just to think about what they are putting on here. I'm personally trusting the club here. Like I said before, it's up to the individual though, it IS a free forum.
missunderstood
IMO if supporters want to project their club in a positive light, then unfortunately censorship is the only way forward, although the end project becomes stale and self-congratulatory. With regards to last nights low attendance, in Romfords experience once long standing regulars stop going, they get out of the habit and rarely return except for the odd big game. Apart from West Ham every club in our area is experiencing bad gates, and it will get even worse once WHU move into the Olympic Stadium and start offering cheap tickets, as promised. I still believe that there's too many clubs chasing too few supporters and the only way to preserve non league football is mergers, and ground shares, but this will never happen. blackballed
I removed the Topic from this forum, as a longstanding supporter of this club I do not think, and for once agree with Alan, that this sort of thing helps any club, but until the facts come out I and I only thought this the right action to take. Eastside Urchin
I originally locked it. The reason being A) it was my decision and nothing to do with the club B- while new posters are obviously welcome on this forum,it's always new posters who suddenly raise their heads when incidents happen C) having the issue bought up on here does the club, supporters, staff no favours. D) if anyone has any complaints etc then they should speak to the club directly or contact a supporters group to do it on their behalf. I honestly don't see the point of in an already topsy turvy season,of making matters worse by mud slinging on here and also while we are at it,mud slinging towards players, staff, supporters etc from anyone on a Saturday afternoon or Tuesday night,we used to stand together and be at one with the club, seeking divisions is just tearing the club apart. There's no doubt sonething happened but deal with it away from here when all and sundrie can use it to dig at us
