Under 16's Membership Scheme...

I have to agree with Greensnet. A lot of our away supporters make their own way to grounds through the season and a lot of these are 'kids'. It is simply impossible to make visiting clubs inform you of how many 'kids' will be visiting in advance so you can issue and send out temporary membership scheme passes etc.

Also there is a problem with your scheme of holding data bases of minors. You need to check with your solicitor and the FA, but if you hold such a data base you will need to employ a child protection officer (if you haven't already) and have a stated privacy policy and child protection policy. There is also a case for potential legal action and the breaking of FA regulations for Clubs visiting Hornchurch if you involve them in issuing passes to identified minors. This is a very serious issue.

If you have a problem with younger elements locally, it is simply not good enough to palm off that problem on away supporters. You are opening a can of worms that could lead to clubs advertising an away game at Hornchurch as child unfriendly and issuing warnings to younger fans to not bother attending at all.

This seems like a sledge hammer to crack your particular walnut and I do hope that you have covered the problematic legal issues surrounding the data base of minors.

Why do you not just have a separate entrance for a family and 'youngsters' enclosure that offers the reduced price, where the other entrances do not? It is then a case of simply policing the remainder of the stadium in a proper manner.

thank you for those comments bluesnet....I can assure you that we have thought this through correctly and indeed taken the advice of our Lawyers on the matter...the correct procedures to manage the new Junior Scheme have been put in place and will commence on the 1st December 2003 as recently announced.

there will be no problems at all for visiting fans that behave themselves as indeed there will be no problems at all for any fan that behaves themselves...

Now I wouold say this to all the kind people that have contributed to this thread....HFC have now for two years enjoyed considerable success both on and off the pitch...the team and the stadium have been rebuilt and the club is a good example of what hard work... sensible investment and enthusiastic endeavour can bring about..I would respectfully suggest that we have already proven the issue with regard to the way that we run the football club

with the best of intentions I would respectfully suggest that both bluesnet and hendon boy look to sorting out their own problems and I would also suggest that hfc1 should first of all earn the right to slag hard working well meaning people off and put his or her money where their mouths are before going to print with spiteful and bitter drivel...

(I thought you were'nt going to bite there hfc1)...ah the demon drink...

anyway...thank you all for your input....we'll no doubt see you all when the next time we have to get our wellies on and clear the pitch of water in the pissing rain or put more money into the club...thats when it all goes quiet of course...

look forward to you introducing yourself to me hfc1 at the next game you bother to attend...!!

I sense anger from Mr. HFC1, come on dear boy, we all support the same side here. Your threats of scrapping with us all are totally unnecessary, like you say, we are only computer nerds, none of us drink and we are all little puppy dogs when it come to fighting. Lighten up, there’s a good chap!

People will always disagree on points raised on this board, thats part of the beauty of it. Myself and Unc had a disagreement just the other day regarding Pints in the club bar. That incident has now been layed to rest, we move on.

HFC1, you really sound like a very bitter person who obviously has an axe of some sort to grind. If you really are that bitter prehaps you should look at supporing another team. I don't know the history between you and Unc but surely it doesn't warrant an attack like that?

To also tell us "keyboard warriors" that we know where we can find you is childish beyond belief! What next?? Meet me outside the bike sheds at 3.30 for a proper dust up. LOL!

Whatever problem you have needs to either be layed to rest or I really do think you should take your "support" elsewhere!

He's probably a new'un to this forum and therefore doesn't know the form. Therefore, lets give him the benefit of the doubt.

To be fair, a few of us maybe got off on the wrong foot when we first started out on here. HFC1, everyone is welcome on here, we all take the p*ss out of other teams, if they don't like it, who gives a sh*t! We also have a bit of banter and occasionally, very occasionally, actually have a sensible debate!

There's no need for the abuse or the threats mate, if you're a real Hornchurch supporter, you wouldn't do that to other fans. Most of us know each other and drink together before and after the matches. Its much easier to get on with each other, really it is mate. If that isn’t your cup of tea, then don't bother coming on here.

Well all I can say is that when St.Albans went to Hornchurch we all left seeing the fruits of hard work and being extremly impressed with everything that we saw and wished our club was run like it.

And Uncle sorted us out a couple of free drinks as well, nice approchable friendly people that were a blessed relief from the usual bitter suited blazered types you get at most clubs in this league.

We managed to win 1-0 as well ..... which was nice <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
