Still easily capable of playing at this level as shown on Saturday and Tuesday night. Still probably one of our best players as well!

 

I don't expect Gilkesy to continue once the injuries are fit, but I was thinking once Daly and Gyoury return from injury and we continue to play as a back three with both their lack of pace a problems at times, what about playing Gilkes as sweeper as he has beeen?

I thought Gilkesy was one of the only players that looked like they wanted to win on Wednesday,id still have him in any Slough team.

Gilkesy as sweeper? Hardly!! I'd like to see him on the left wing or if not there, then in the middle.

I think the last two appearances have taken their toll on Gilkes and he is rated as doubtful for tomorrow's game. Did play well in the sweeper position though when called upon.

Daly, Gyoury and Gilkes a back three. Terrifying thought. I think we would be a wee bit susceptable to pace. I agree that Gilkes has been good over the last two games and certainly should not consign himself to just a coaches role yet but he looked wrecked at the final whistle on Wednesday and I am not surprised he will miss out tomorrow.
