Savagebee
http://www.aylesburyunitedfc.co.uk/news/?e=3264 Been a great player for us and he is a nice guy. Good luck to him.
OD's
That's a strange one, going from a team in 3rd to one is 13th. Was it monetary as not ambition.
Neutral
I think Aylesbury will have a similar, or smaller, budget that Hanwell. If they had cash they would have had him for a while
Winslow Boy
Has to be on much more money otherwise it makes no sense. Great signing for the ducks though

Savagebee
We have fu*k all money trust me. The reason most of our players have stayed at the club the last 3 seasons is because they are all good mates or in some cases family and we have done very well the last 3 seasons since the return of Sir Duffy if we had done poor the last 3 seasons there would im sure have been a much bigger turn over of players. Players that have left this season are Fanner, Joseph, Walker, Senior, Pither, Mills and now Putman and we have been at the top end of the league all season. Putman will be a very big loss to the club but I never thought he would be at the club as long as he has. Good luck to Puts is what i say :wave (2):

Savagebee
Re united with all your Ampthill pals Oh yes it was just like playing Ampthill Town it really was it was a tough old game. Even noticed a few Ampthill Town supporters at the game today supporting Leighton Town.
Baldock_Town
He was being chased by Hitchin Town according to our local rag a few weeks ago and apparently he decided to stay at Hanwell to play with his mates. I assume he has mates at Aylesbury too if that article is anything to go by.

Hitchin Town are a level higher than Aylesbury United do you or anyone know roughly how much £ Hitchin Town were offering Putman? He must have mates at Aylesbury United. Rebadiah Hongfield
He's very good mates with former Oxhey Jets full-back Lee Grays. He also has a soft spot for the Aylesbury United fans after sharing a pint with them when he got sent off early in a clash between Jets and Aylesbury. The money Aylesbury offered was fairly average apparently, but the goal bonus is "deeeeecent" so I've heard. With Putman believing he will definitely bag enough goals to earn a ridiculous weekly wage.
OD's
Always remember the season he scored 80 odd goals. With our partnership with Luton Town FC, one of their coaches came to watch him against us. As he came out the changing rooms with a can of red bull and smoking a ciggie, the coach went home before KO. If I recall he scored a hat trick. Was waiting for your post on this topic RH and a good post as always When Putman was on form NO defender in the Central Division could not get near him he got a hatrick against Royston Town and three doubles against Uxbridge, Chalfont St Peter and Daventry Town. I remember our opening game of the season against AFC Hayes away we were 2 0 down Putman came on in the second half and changed the game he scored and hit the post or crossbar cant remember which and we drew the game 2 2. Yes the cigs didn't seem to stop the guy from scoring goals that's for sure We had lots of scouts at our games this season watching Putman. Yep he was not a happy chappy when he came off at Egham but I was told that he was unhappy with the way he had played he had also been booked for back chat or something along them lines. You and RH have a lot of Oxhey Jets FC gossip what was the reaction to Casey's departure? the Oxhey Jets team looked like they were on the up with Casey and Armitt upfront banging in the goals? Rebadiah Hongfield
If I'm being honest SB I didn't realise Casey had left again. I'm sure that wouldn't have gone down well at Jets. I did wonder why the goals had dried up over at Oxhey. Casey is not only a scorer of great goals, but he also does the "Heskey" work too that often doesn't get credited. My attentions have been on Berko and Tring lately. Good clubs for me when the weather is like this, I can watch berko form the flats and the Tring hospitality keeps me warm. Do you run to the ground to get a Berko programme then run back to the warmth of the flat ?
