I'm all in favour of paying to watch wether it's 6 or 8 pounds and a programme for a quid a cup of tea and a hot dog or burger,its the only way some clubs can pay the officials and supply the refreshments afterwards.

That would explain how they're getting away without paying - on 'official business'

That 'Noisy flock' numbers about half a million John and is spread all over the South West of London !  You saw just a small part of that and yes they do like the church spire and our floodlight pylons and the many old Oak trees in the Great Park.

 

Red Kites are also a frequent sight, often landing on the pitch in the Summer to get a free shower when the irrigation system is on but, alas, the pigeons are no more as the netting and spikes went up about 8 weeks ago and the mess in the stand has been professionally chemically cleaned and disinfected !

 

Given the lack of pigeons and the plethora of other birdlife perhaps we should do a joint football/birdwatching 'special' entrance fee of £10 [sure that will attract a few twitchers ! LOL]

And talking of birdlife, a curlew landed in my garden this morning.

I'm glad to say that Red Kites are now a frequent sight over leafy Dorking.
