The Biggest Game's This Saturday

Let's forget about last night now. Who knows we may have gone a little further in the cup but again we have achieved something this season by putting the frighteners on a league club. Also we have managed to get ourselves on the TV and raised the profile of our little Island again.

We lost in the 93rd something minute but we are not the first this has happened to and it happens occasionally.

We have had our fun so now let's concentrate on the main objective this year by winning that title.

The task this Saturday is an important one. Hendon and Hayes are looking stronger this season but Hornchurch are the ones to beat. Believe they have not conceeded in the last 10 now, does that sound familiar with the meanness at the back, Aldershot/Gravesend.

Remember recently that they have actually beaten a league division 3 team 2-0 which is a superb achievement.

This will be our stiffest and most important task. They have had all week to prepare for this and know it is just about a must win game for them to knock us out of our stride.

Obviously everyone was disappointed in the manner we lost last night, but I just hope our players can take something by knowing the fact they worried the life out of league players last night, but the real important job to do is to get something out of the game Saturday and keep that cushion of points.

Two seasons ago we beat Gravesend at their place at the end of March. That too was billed as the 'Make or Break' game of the season. 5,000 crammed in to see our victory, all certain that we had done the business and the title would now be ours... I believe we came second?

Panic ye not. Hornchurch is a very big game and we want to win, but it's still early days.

your usual charming self there Mr MIMM....

pity you won't make what will undoubtedly be a good game between two very good sides...couch potatoes like you never do....

canv and pabird have it right...it is important but won't be the end of the title if one team loses although I do believe that the win is more important for us than for Canvey Island...

good luck Canvey...enjoy the day...enjoy our hospitality and above all....

go home happy and content that you are still three points in front of us with a game in hand....

by the way POB....

we actually wanted you to win that replay....
