Trophy replay at Merthyr

Recommended Posts

For anyone travelling on Tuesday.

Google Maps says the journey is around 2 hours 40 minutes in good traffic.

Talking to some of the supporters an officials yesterday, they said that with the delays at the Severn Bridge and on the M4 around Cardiff, it is more like a 3 1/2 hour journey to get there

As you might expect we have a few issues with regards to the game, Guy Hollis and Tom Moran are both unavailable, Guy works up in the City and is on a course in Shoreditch which will not finish until 5pm, and despite looking at various train options, he will not get there.

Also Tom started a new job last week and is on a training residential in Southampton, and unable to get out.

Knighty is out due to dead leg sustained on Saturday, and Hatchett is also still struggling from the dead leg.

We welcome back Rummy in to the squad having returned from the US yesterday, we actually had him signed on 4 weeks ago with his international clearance so is therefore available, the rules being only players signed prior to midday Friday just gone are eligible.

Squad from:

Jake Somerville, Sean Fraser, Ryan Parsons, Reece Yorke, Billy Jeffreys, Jake Parsons, James Dobson, Jamie McClurg, Adrian Sear, Ben Edwards, Leigh Rumbold, Oscar Betts, Johnnie Dyer, Eddie Smith and Scott Harris.

We can win this and get another good home game............rebels radio over ITV football this evening !

Of course anythings possible but the odds are stacked against us.

Will get a shock from all our team I hope.

Have to say the same as Dan cant remember not going to a game but Merthyr on a Tuesday night and work the next day is a bit too much for us oldies!

Best of luck to the team.

And yes Warren I know, but I'm still not a part timer as much as you !

Hope all goes well for you, (being slightly local).

At least an artificail pitch means the match should get under-way.  We've already lost some Tuesday evening matchs in the  CoCo  due to the rain.

Not ideal with only 2 actual subs and I presume Ed is carrying a knock otherwise he'd be starting? Plus Edwards isn't a regular and has just come back from injury, so let's hope we don't sustain any injuries tonight! Think we're going to right up against it tonight as we scrapped a draw at home and now we're playing away on an alien pitch with a small squad.
