Southall FC Til I die
Hadley appear to be very strong at home and not so strong on their travels - Any particular reason for this?
BigDogCol
The pitch ain't the greatest leading to a long-ball game so this may go some way to explaining the home form.
nick.ince
WGC vs. Bedford is the pick of the games in Div One this week. WGC will need to bounce back from their recent slump in the league - wwwwwwwwwd!
Monkey8
Will be making the trip to Welwyn tonight to watch this one, looking forward to a good game.
Winslow Boy
Winslow got properly turned over tonight by Buckingham Town from what I hear, late consolation goal made it 4-1.

Southall FC Til I die
Very proud of the Southall FC players tonight - went blow for blow with a decent Hadley team and even after a debatable second half sending off - Southall still went in front through their striker Edison Terberen after 71 minutes - but then winger Carlos Newton got injured with all subs used and Southall down to 9 players - found it almost impossible to hold out and went down to two late strikes.... What a great performance from everyone of those Southall players, the new management have definately started something positive there.
Baldock_Town
Very impressed with WGC last night, although they were helped by Bedford's keeper, who had a shocker. I read in the matchday programme (which was very good by the way!) that Welwyn are currently bottom of the respect table and Bedford fifth! You would never have believed it having watched last night. Bedford had their player/manager sent off, just after WGC went 3-0 up and you could see from the moment he got booked for an impetuous kick at a Welwyn player off the ball in the first half that another yellow was inevitable. Funnily enough, when they played us recently the Bedford manager (who was on the bench that night) said we were losing 3-0 to their B-team! If that was his A-team last night, maybe he should stick with the B-team a bit more Looking forward to our meeting at Welwyn on 26th Nov, but on this evidence they will be hard to stop this season. I see the revival has started for Edgware! No doubt our "beleaguered" forum member will be on soon talking up the Glasgow Rangers of the SSML. In all seriousness though, good luck to them - we just hope they have another off day when we play them at the beginning of December!
Backroom1
Baldock Town - thank you for your comments, appreciated. With regards to the respect table - we have had some recent issues with regards to discipline, but credit to the players in that we called a meeting with the whole squad to explain tthe seriousness of the situation, and in the last 2 games we have picked up just the one booking and the attitudes have improved dramatically. That said, for your visit to us on the 26th we are going to be missing 3 players through suspension plus our goalkeeper picked up a fairly nasty injury last night and we are expecting him to be out for 4-6 weeks. We are under no illusions of how difficult the task is this season, we have now played 24 games yet only 11 in the leage. There is a long way to go, and many twists and turns i am sure. That said, the club has moved on dramatically in the last 12 months and we are very much aiming to reward an excellent committee and ever increasing support with promotion and hopefully a cup final. Just a note on attendances. We have increased the average attendance in the league from a modest 38 in 2012 season, up to 86 following last night. Not to mention that every cup game we have had we have seen over 100. We are very pleased, but only a quarter of the way through the season we have a long way to go. Baldock_Town
Agreed there is a long way to go, but you've given yourselves a good platform. Conceding three goals in 11 league games whilst banging them in consistently at the other end takes some doing. We are concerned that we have already lost too many to challenge for the title this season, but we are a match for most teams when we are on it. We generally play better against the better sides, so hopefully we'll give you a run for your money.
Backroom1
I would like to put it down to good coaching.....but i may be getting ahead of myself! In seriousness though, for me it has been players desire to work hard and learn from mistakes that has been the real reason for our success at both ends of the pitch this season. Something that we were lacking at times last season
Baldock_Town
There was definitely a sense that everyone knew exactly what their role was in the side and you were constantly in Bedford faces as soon as they got on the ball.
Monkey8
Some great closing down and pressure from Welwyn, Bedford could not live with that and lost the plot at times. Some poor tackles coming in from them due to frustration of giving the ball away. Highlight of the night was when the Bedford sub (tall lad up top) called a nutmeg on a Welwyn player late in the 2nd half! At 3 nil down I thought he had some front!
