With Merthyr having lost only 3 games all season and unbeaten since September, It's a real toughie and I think we'll have to be on top of our game to get any sort of result tomorrow.

If it's a draw after 90 minutes, has it been decided if it will be a replay or extra time and penalties if required?

 

Personally I'd plump for extra time and penalties.

Played a very good side today; a side who I think would do well in our league.

 

But we are still in the cup and with Rummy, Sommers & a fully fit Dobbo to come back that will be good for us.

 

Thought as we gave the ball away far too easily in the second-half at times IMO - keep it on the floor as Ed & JD had a tough time of it with the ball in the air so much.

 

MOM for me today was Jefferys. Was excellent at the back today against their impressive number 9.

 

Certainally be interesting on the 3G pitch I think they have there?

There were large periods during the second half where getting the ball even near the halfway line was an achievement, such was the domination and possession from Merthyr. Apart from not making the ball stick up front I thought we did well against what is effectively a Premier Division team.

 

I think playing as the away team against Merthyr will suit us better so tuesday will be another cracking game. Also worthy of mention is that all of their supporters and officials who I spoke with were extremely pleasant.

Not a bad result and we rode our luck a bit............our inconsistency is worrying and today we just could not keep possession..........short passes were the right idea if we had not misplaced so many.

 

But we are still in it so good luck to  us on Tuesday.............maybe of late we are better away anyway !

One thing to remember, we were not great today, but are now 6 unbeaten!!! Good run at this level of football.... (7 if you include Banbury where we would have got a result)
