Carthorse
Eastbourne away will be like the old days a trip down to Sussex would have been nice to have got a club not been to before but I am sure it will be a good game.
Chris Clapham
The draw hasn't been over kind to the CCL clubs but I guess nothing would be "easy" in the 2nd round proper. We are guaranteed only one team through via Hanworth Villa or Knaphill. Chessington & Hook will have to defy the odds again to win at Lingfield but genuine hopes there. Horley at Eastbourne United have a good chance based on their form. Westfield face recent finalists Tunbridge Wells but at least they are at home. Farnham (if they get through tonight's tricky replay at Abingdon), face the Sussex League leaders Littlehampton, also at home. As for our draw, well I've played cricket next door at Pagham CC. They are managed by former Colliers Vandyke manager, Gary Block, and are fifth in the league. I guess we would have to improve on recent performances, especially defensively, to prevail but we will definitely enjoy the day out whatever happens. In fact, I have already got my train ticket (Cheam to Bognor Regis) for just £8!
Carthorse
Saw Tunbridge Wells in the FA Vase Final a couple of years ago great team as I knew a few of the players down there at the time. A trip to Pagham brings back many merories they were always pushing to go up but never seamed to have the stomach for it dispite winning the league several times. Nice pitch use to be a friendly Club as well. One thing that use to make us laugh was the goal keeper always had his mum behind the goal with him, use to add to the banter!
