blue pilgrim
I wonder if Statto could inform us of the number of times we have conceded just on half time or full-time this season? Meanwhile in other news Brentwood look to have a replay in the Trophy, so I guess Monday is off? And Rowan Liburd nets again for Thamesmead as they progress in the Trophy. Well done Rowan. GazzaBTFC
By my reckoning we have conceded 3 times just before half time and 3 times just before full time... Only one game have we conceded both before half time and full time... Since we beat Witham...
GazzaBTFC
I thought the game was fairly even in the first half... Both teams had a moment or two but had either chances snuffed out... And then the free header that led to their goal... Second half we had moments of being camped in their half but were denied by the bar and post (following a save by the keeper who did well to get his hand to stop a well placed chip). The second half we put in a good effort to take the game to the hosts and continued to push them back... There were some strange calls for offside which may had made a difference but I think we need to look to ourselves for being in a position of chasing the game. I don't think anyone can deny that the effort the players put in. And maybe things might have been different if Harry Baker wasn't taken off injured after what was a horrendous challenge... But then again that is a "what if"... We cannot just look to one unfortunate incident as a game changer...
Billericay Town Unofficial
Highlights from the match http://billericaytownfc.wix.com/fans#!metpoliceaway/csi Having looked back at several of the clips of the offside calls the lino was actually right, they were close but offside. Who would people vote for as Man of the Match? The two that stand out for me the morning after the match are Billy Lumley and Liam Nash.
Brightside Bloke
Seems we had plenty of chances in the area according to the highlights (Cheers James1981) Awful attendance again by the Met Police supporters/spectators. Must be as low as when we used to travel to Leyton?
GazzaBTFC
I shall withdraw my suggestion regarding the offside decisions... Not too sure about MOTM. I think Billy deserves it as the goal wasn't down to him... The defence let the guy in unmarked as he ghosted in....
