Chris
I see from the official website. Can fully understand it with Rumbold returning and Knight, McClurg, Ben Ed, Searsy (five players) effectively challenging for two positions. However I'm sure a lot of supporters will be disappointed. Personally I thought George was excellent around the club and in particular the play-off Semi-final and second-half in the final, where despite JD scoring the two goals he was just as important to us that day IMO and was hugely influential in the comeback. All the best George!
Rebel Kay
Very sad to see him go. One of the characters of the team! All the best George and many thanks for your efforts in a rebels shirt.
GlenSTFC
Not surprised and when everyone is back/fit he wouldn't have started. He came with big hype and promise but I never saw that in his game, but still a decent player. Best of luck George.

Reading Rebel
Bit shocked but understandable. Thanks for all your efforts in a Rebels shirt George and all the best for the future at your new club (I'll take a wild guess at Godalming )
Rebel Sue
Well that's a crap start to a Tuesday morning!?! Really gutted, George was a massive part of our tean in my opinion so really sad to see him go. He is also one of the nicest people I have met. Good luck George and keep in touch you are definitely one of my favourites x x x
Jon Underwood
Not surprised in the slightest by all the nice comments coming out on here and on Twitter about George. He is a fantastic lad with a great attitude who has been a pleasure to manage. As good a player as he is there sometimes comes a time when a move is the best thing for him and also for us as managers and he leaves us on very good terms. Will be watching his progress with interest and I know everyone in the changing room wishes him all the very best!
Stuntman Mark
I agree 100% with Chris' post. George played a massive part in promotion last season and he was the best player on the park in the play off semi final against Rugby. As others have also said, he's a real gent too and will be missed around the club. Good luck for the future!

Brighton on holiday
If we had kept all Sues favourites over the years, we'd have a squad of

RebelDelaney
As said above all the best for the future. Don.t forget the big part you played in the play off games. You did.nt hide after the og against Kettering and by the end of the game you had the last laugh and taken the big grins of there players who thought your mishap amising. 3spirit
When I sponsored his away shirt I didn't expect him to be in a Godalming one! ha ha! Must been a hard decision for our managers to let him go,as I believe they both hold him in high regard as a bloke and as a player with huge potential. For me George's contribution last season won me round after initial scepticism in his ability. As Stuntman Mark said George stole the show and was the star player for the Rugby semi play off game. His passing is as good as anyone in our team and I liked the fact that he has height;something that isn't abundant in the team. Yes there are parts of his game that he needs to improve on but I'm slightly surprised he's being released. Anyway, all the best,George and George's Dad ! khan
Agree 3 spririt about his passing. Technically as good as anyone. Shame to see him go but understand his reasons. Godalming's gain Slough's loss If i recall he scored a cracker against Chertsey i think? He also had a fantastic shot on him
