I'm actually going to get to a game! Off to see St Mags play AFC, may there be plenty of goals, incident and St Mags to nick it at the death!

Interesting fixtures tonight!. Berko will hope to bounce back after disappointing results recently, afc will look to keep there form going but have a very difficult trip to mags. Tie of the night for us is hare field v Hertford!. Heard mr Hobbs has gone to run the rule over our vase visitors on Saturday. Can only hope for 90+10 added on with extra time in that game!!!!. Good luck to all in action tonight

3-0 away and we mostly played our reserves tonight to keep the 1st team fresh for Saturday's FA Vase game.

Was told that the Harefield team tonight was pretty much their 1st pick too so a very good result.

5th win on the bounce and 18 goals in the progress.

Strength in depth and massive confidence in the camp.

Was at Cockfosters v Biggleswade last night, two teams I don't often get to see. Got to say, I won't go back for a while, it's impossible to see a good game of football played on that pitch and we all know I'm a purist.

Cockfosters knew how to play on it and were very effective in possession, took all their goals well. There was a wonder strike from a kid who must of been promoted from the youth team for a run out in the cup, god knows how far out he was!! Even non-league peter pan himself (f.moore) nearly got on the scoresheet with a well-worked corner, it did leave you wondering why he was the focal point of the move though and not one of the strikers. Not a bad game overall, but a bit kick and rush for a man of my taste.

Our very own pete the Greek was running the line I think, not a bad game from him apart from a couple of blips. I was on the other side of the pitch though, so I didn't get to shout any abuse at him or study his running style pointed out by Rhodes.

More local one for me on Saturday, think I'll be heading to berko to get a good look at this season's surprise package, Kings Langley.

I wonder if he'll post the report of the Edgware game that's on the TK forum. Gives Edgware a proper slating !

There were no 'blips'.

Good to see you too Monkey! Not the best game and St Mags should've sewn it up in normal time.  Created the majority and better chances.

Will be back over in a couple of weeks to take your money at the poker night!

FROM ANOTHER FORUM ;)

Coldicote 1 Edgware Town 0
Spartan South Midlands League Division 1 Cup. Admission not taken, programme not issued (See below) Att; 26 According to Mitoo
Cup of coffee and snickers £1.50
This really was a game that made me wonder why I bother with non league football. 2 sides who were more interested in arguing with the officials and whose footballing abilities were really not good enough to be any more than the local park. True, they were not helped by the state of the pitch at the Gostling Stadium, the ball bobbled at every opportunity to the point you winced every time the keeper received a back pass.
The only real moment of quality came in added time at the end of the first half when the home side won the game from a free kick on the edge of the box that whistled into the top corner of the net.
The second half was poor, constant fouling and very poor passing (Usually out of play or to an opponent) and was summed up by a very nice chap who it transpires is the home teams chairman who continually called for his own team to be more disciplined. His words seemed to fall on deaf ears. His own number 10 was sent off for abusing the referee in injury time (And continued to do so when leaving the field) and he was quickly followed by the visitors centre back for a second yellow after a foul. Edgware finished with 9 players although it was not clear why they did so or when - I certainly did not see an extra red.
Coldicote deserved the win, most of the game was played in Edgware's half, but their inability to pull the trigger was laughable.
Edgware were a big let down on the field and off it. No programme was issued we were told as they repeatedly failed to respond to the home clubs request for information, but the said Coldicote chairman kindly retrieved programmes from Saturdays match for my co-attendee and I. In addition, they turned up with just their players and coaching staff with apparently no other officials present, and their players / management delayed the start by 10 minutes as they insisted on going back to the changing rooms as their team did not have the right numbers on their shirts. They came across as a sunday league rag-bag outfit, which is a let down when one considers their re-formation and past history. I hope they get things right.
As for the Gostling Stadium, first visit and last - awful soul-less place to watch footy - if ever there was an incentive to get out of SSML Div 1 - then 2 visits plus per season (Coldicote share with Hatfield Town) would be it.
