cup of tea
Home jinx strikes again. Enfield play cute football, don't blame them for doing that. Some good performances but didn't really create many clear cut chances (neither did Enfield for that matter). I know that the management would have done all they can but I wonder if the athletics club can work with us to keep the pitch in as good a condition as possible as we do tend to play differently away and I wonder if that's a factor. Wivenhoe Urchin
A tight game and we found it difficult to create scoring chances. I thought Enfield Town were booting the ball in the air as much as we were during the game. Surely when the weather changes it will be much harder to play how we would want to and so it won't make much of a difference where we play, so we may as well get used to the more physical style we saw today. cup of tea
Think we should have at least one penalty, never mind
Eastside Urchin
The first one Reece went for was not a penalty,he went down too easily and ultimately I believe it's why he didn't get the second one when he was clearly taken out by the keeper, again though in reality as poor as I thought the Ref was and that he shouldn't take into account a previous penalty in which he thought the player milked, the refs do take that sort of thing into account. Apart from one Tuohy effort towards the end of the first half i don't really remember any goal worthy attempts by us,very poor and lacklustre especially after last weeks top performance. But they are no better than us,and it's obvious our pitch hampers the more creative players, especially today where it was ling and it clearly affected some of our players late on second half as chasing the game we looked tired and jaded and never really looked like being strong enough to get the equaliser. I noticed late on,one or two players not even jumping for 50/50 headers and they were players who were running around all afternoon trying to get things going,so it must of got to them late on. We go again
Wivenhoe Urchin
Big game next Saturday where we could really do with our first home win.

Any 'feedback' on the second incident should be directed to the assistant, not the referee. When the foul/fall/dive occurred the referee had barely reached the centre circle on the quick break out and was in no position at all to make a decision without guessing. The assistant was the only one with a chance to make a call and as far as I could see made no indication either way.
Eastside Urchin
While I agree that the referee was not in the best position,he still should of seen the incident clearly as it was face on
urchinman1961
Jeckel and Hyde performance after last weeks samba football and puts us back in the wrong zone but this is the ryman and everybody beats everybody else was not a good game in general plenty of room for improvement
ProgEd
I'm amazed, but the video shows clearly that the incident with the keeper wasn't a penalty. As for the pitch, it's not just the athletes. Enfield were asked to warm up in the middle of the pitch, which was firm, rather than the wing, which was boggy, and simply refused.

Dagger03
Tom S - no, he did not dive. Again the referee was correct in taking no action, as the player simply lost his balance.
