Rubbish

I've had some good nights at my beloved Chins, tonight wasn't one of them though!! I must say that I did half believe before tonight’s game that we'd play at least couple of the first teamers. However, we didn't play one player from the starting line up from Saturday's game or from the Darlo match. To be fair, and I'm not crying over spilt milk, it was a game I really couldn't give a monkeys about and a cup that absence from the Urchins trophy cabinet matters not one bit!!

I'm being as honest and as positive as I possible can, but that was dreadful! I have never been so disinterested in a match in all my life!!

However, as I said the Essex FA Senior Cup will not be a major miss from the Chins list of honours. However, for the Daggers, that took the game very seriously, the Essex Senior Cup is all their season now consists of. Well good luck to them!! I'm glad we've still got a FA Cup to look forward to, a Trophy run and not to mention the league!

A full strength Daggers side looked nothing special against our reserve side! There's no doubt at all in my mind that our first team would have beaten them very comfortably tonight!

The only point of serious concern I took from tonight’s game, is god help us if Westy or Ollie are missing for any of our games!!!!

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but what was the final score??? I left at 3-1 and was supping a pint in the Bridge House long before the end?

Yeah, Kev Nev was run ragged at the back - even though Daggers weren't so special. All I can say is that our reserve team will take something positive from this game.

If points were awarded for "style" for goals then we won 4-3 anyway.

1 point for the goal

1 for imagination and creativity

1 for style of play leading to goal

1 for method of finishing.

Come on you Urchins. Bring on the Canvey!!

No you are right, I'm not being critical of the team, they are the reserves, the second string, christ they should get beaten by a full strenght conference side!

Their were glimpses indeed as you say. The defence was poor though, if it hadn't have been, then maybe we'd have given them a much closer game.

Like I said in my post, I care about this cup as I do the Thameside Trophy. It means nothing in the general scheme of things, all the best to our mighty neighbours Dagenham. I'm just f****d off tonight, s**t game, surrounded by s**t awful Dagenham kids (and our own ones) and I didn't even get my Trannie tickets!! And too make matters worst, didn't even meet to legendary EMHdad and his gang? Were you up the bar before the game? Sorry, we didn't hang around after.

I know what you mean Bigchin, but at least it wasn't anything important. If it had been the league or Trophy then maybe, but its a meaningless cup game, that the likes of Aveley even got to the final of last year. Say no more mate! Like I said earlier, the good people of Dagenham will be travelling back to their high rise tower blocks with little else to cheer about other than a cup win in the Essex Senior Cup!! Wow, big thrills, take a bow please Dagenham!

No, you are quite right. Of course it was the right decision, if I were boss I'd have done exactly the same. Now I hope that Southend take Canvey to extra time and penalties!! The frustrating thing is, that even at full strength Dagenham looked like a team that a full strength Chins side would have comfortably beaten. It is a local derby remember, the fans wanted us to win. As I have said though in all my posts, this is a cup that we can live without. Forgive please my harshness at tonight’s team and performance, I'm pee'd that we didn't win, we were surrounded by little s**ts during the game and I didn't get my Trannie ticket. A good nights sleep and things will seem much better (assuming I get my Trannie ticket tomorrow that is!!!)

Got our 17 tickets for Tranmere this morning, can rest easy now! Already forgotten about last nights game, going out of the mickey mouse cup! We've got bigger fish to fry, think we can leave that competition to be battled out between the giants of Dagenham and Aveley!
