littlehampton
Shawn Beveney should prove a very useful acquisition for The Town. He has considerable experience and has captained the Guyana national team 19 times. Six years ago (2008) he was voted 'man of the match' in a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago. He is left footed and plays striker or central midfield for his country, but plays as a striker or attacking midfielder at club level. His previous clubs in England include Dulwich Hamlet, Kingstonian, Lewes, Ashford TK, and more recently Cray Wanderers.Five years ago (2009) Beveney was voted in the best five players playing non-league football by non-league journalists. He sounds like a great signing for The Town. Welcome Shawn, sure you will be a great success!
townerboy
from a contact - he was actually a major reason why Guyana held Mexico 0-0 for 80 minutes in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 2012 (before the manager made 3 changes including taking Shawn off and ended up conceding a ton of goals in the final 10 minutes.......). DerekR
Debut tonight against North Greenford in the MCC I thought tonight's mtch was a Midx. Sen. Cup (MSC) fixture rather than a Middx. Charity Cup (MCC) one. Can anyone advise which is correct? TIA
littlehampton
Derek, tonight's match is a Middx Charity Cup match. We play Hanwell Town at home in the 1st Round of the Middx Senior Cup on the 11th November.
littlehampton
Not a lot of news about this match tonight. Town made quite a few changes to their first choice line up. Might explain the lack of goals. Still 1-0 I guess.
