Cambridge

Recommended Posts

1st half we really shot ourselves in the foot. 2 great strikes from Cambridge but both of the first 2 goals we had simple opportunities to nullify the threat and failed to do so

out of nowhere almost we get back in it then just on half time we were bamboozled again by some decent passing and moving from Cambridge and looked to have perhaps thrown away a chance of salvaging something

we had to stand quite a bit of pressure early on after half time which we did well to withstand but then once the Cambridge player went off injured we began to pile on more and more pressure and grabbed a deserved equaliser.

still lots to work on defensively (not just the defence) and we must learn to be harder to score against as it only adds more and more pressure on the attacking players and tends to result in rushing and forcing the play due to chasing the game

that said the fact the team improved as the game went on definitely showed great team spirit and fight. the fact we worked back and rescued a point should help lift the team's confidence and belief

fingers crossed we can take this result and hopefully get back to winning ways in the next few games

2 weeks isn't it usually so i guess it will be Margate which would be favorable over league game

Away days have been great so far. Loads of new grounds or ones we haven't visited in some time and fans always seem to be more vocal no matter what is transpiring on the pitch. Think this is partly the newness factor of being in a new league and partly that many fans are a bit sick of being at holloways where atmosphere isn't too easy to generate

On that note I have to say how impressed we were with the support yesterday. Even when we went 3-1 down, and at the time not playing at all well, the fans behind the goal were singing and remained positive. Was massively appreciated by all of us!

Really don't know what the answer is at Holloways as we would love to see that same level of noise and positivity. Do appreciate that having no cover at the bottom end doesn't help but even under the cover behind the top goal things have been very subdued this season.

Admittedly the last two home performances have been dire but we are looking to put that right against Hereford on Tuesday and if there is anything that can be done to generate some atmosphere that can only help us!
