Not really a ridiculous comment more a judgement call that in this could well of been an opportunity to have a second keeper whom is fairly young which would like to gain the experience of being in and around a first team camp and can't see why that can't happen at most clubs

I think any club with an under 18s could have their youth keeper on the bench every week. It would give them a good chance to get used to the environment and ease the nerves. They can carry out the warm up with the first choice keeper and then when an opportunity arises through injury or sending offs then it's better than sitting at home on the Playstation. Being allowed 5 subs every week helps also as you can accommodate youth players, having a defender, midfielder and striker with youth keeper and a good youngster on the bench would be ideal for any club I think.

Exactly young veteran and you could give him the opportunity to play in the local and league cup competitions which some teams use to give those squad players a game! Surely that is what we should be doing to develop the game and give youth an opportunity to get involved gradually

Crikey, what for 40 games,on the off chance, you may get a game. That would be loyalty of the Highest order.

I think any club would be lucky to have a youth keeper that would be around all season, most will have two or three to call on in my experience. I'm sure there are plenty of young players, if treated correctly, that would appreciate time with the first team. Most youngsters like to tell their friends that they are playing first team football even if they are just on the bench. It's good for them too and I think it goes a long way to building their confidence.

Cambo 3 v 0 RPV

Odd afternoon.  Camberley had a goal disallowed after 50 secs and that set the tone.

Camberley were probably lucky to stay at 11 after a couple of late tackles and then RPV had a player sent off for DOGO.  Camberley missed the pen.

Then Camberley had a 2nd goal disallowed before 1st taken the lead and then doubling it.  RPV's best player went off to hospital after crashing into the pitch perimeter.  He was back at the club after the game so hopefully he is fine.

2nd half was a poor show.  RPV had 2 goals disallowed and Camberley had another disallowed before Camberley got a 3rd right at the death which was probably a bit hard on RPV for their efforts in the 2nd half.

If I didn't know better young Kroons, after reading your report, I might JUST suspect you were having the teeniest tinyest small dig at the three men in black !!

The fact that Shelley got injured had no bearing on the outcome of the result. We would of still got the win as we should of done in the F A Cup game but we didn't. Funny old game.

Understand from friends at the game that knaphill were very poor yesterday! How many go down this season? As they could be battling to stay out of that but looking like hanworth and Guildford currently

The gate at the game yesterday was reported as 38.  About average for all yesterdays Prem matches.

Probably 2,as I am sure the League will want to make the numbers up to 22,and with possibly Walton Casuals being relegated from above,3 could come up.However if Worcester Park finish in a Top 3 position, only 2 will be promoted from Div 1,meaning only 1 will be relegated, likewise if the FA do not move a club down to the CC.Must say that Knaphill played ok when I saw them, the same cannot be said of Guildford who were poorer than poor.

Also thinking about it, Pete Ruggles used to play in goal for Sandhurst Town so it is hardly like having a normal outfield player going between the sticks. Also recapping the game, he made at least 3 worldie saves, so in fact it could quite easily have been double figures.

Crikey, okay In The Know so you've won a game. Don't hear much from you when Badshot Lea lose  ;) !    See you have purchased the services of Simmonds from Frimley Green he should help you get out of the relegation fodder.

Not at all JR.  From my position in the ground 2 of our 3 disallowed goals looked correct.  Wouldnt like to say re the 3rd but I was 100 yards away.  Same for the 2 RPV ones and they didn't complain much so would suggest they were right.

Epsom 2-4 Ashford. The match report is here:

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/LCN124.html

Strange game really. We became only the second team to score twice in the League against them this season and could have had more, but they had the best striker on the field in Fleming and he took three of his four real chances, the other requiring a great save.

Will Ashford win the League? I can't say right now as we have not yet met Camberley, Cove or Molesey, although we are likely to have met all three within the next month so I will know more by then. However, their keeper and central defensive pairing were very good and if they can keep finding the net, they will be hard to stop. We had a good try but failed!
