LEVERSTOCK GREEN 1-2 OXHEY JETS

Admission £6.00 Prog £1.00 CB & C £4.20 Tea £1.20 Kit-Kat 80p

Attendance 55 (h/c 80)

All the goals came in the first half - both sides trading penalties and OJ's winner was a thunderous direct free kick that was blasted into the net. The quoted attendance of 55 was well short of my headcount which reached about 80, although perhaps they don't count club officials (of either side) or the numerous "boiz" gathered round the dugout exchanging banter with the subs.

Good result on Tuesday night for The Blues. Should have been many more but Tring will present a sterner test on Saturday.

Anyone I should be looking out for @tringarmy?

Not really seen enough this season to say. Seems as if we've got a good young squad & enough depth for some game changers from the bench. At least 7 or 8 out injured that could come in to contention when fit

Big Dawg, from what I've seen there's a few tricky players going forward, but they can't defend for toffee. Former forum favourite and member of Holmer Green's infamous leaky defence of 2012/13, Michael Green, actually starts as right back for them. They also have a centre back who I'm pretty sure they've stolen from the rugby pitch behind them. One of the tricky attacking players they have only gets used as a 15 min super sub, Tyler Collins. Tell the players not to get on the wrong side of him or it could end in trouble. By the sounds of his accent, he must've been brought up in the rough part of Tring.

If you attack them early and get a goal, you should be fine. If they score first, who knows. I'll be keeping an eye out on that game.

Wow! Great scouting report Reb, thanks!

Have you considered a role with Team England? Woy could really use the assistance!

DIVISION ONE

2-3 Langford v Hatfield Town

A report from another Forum by Sussexhopper, I wouldn't say that Forde Park was 'very rural' rural maybe:

Spartans Div 1

Langford 2-3 Hatfield

Admission inc Programme £5

Head Count 39

Pint of Fosters £3 no barmaid available.

Nice ground in a very rural location with pleasant bar and at cost seats and terrace with hard standing all round.

Hatfield scored 3 first half goals without reply the third was a great free kick.

Straight after the second half Langford pulled one back with a free kick nearly as good as Hatfields 3rd but on 80 mins they pulled back a 2nd to make the last 10 interesting but nothing was to of come of it.
