I thought Wembley might be the dark horses in this league, but they've failed the classic "but can they do it on a cold tuesday night in St Margaretsbury?" test.

Anyone at the Harefield game? 4-0, what happened there??!

But not the worst result for Wembley eh RH and a clean sheet away from home can never be a bad thing.

Any of your classic gossip RH? You have been a bit quiet of late.

Also applicable to bench-side A/R's.  :D

That's true, perhaps a bit harsh to use the word "failed". A draw and a clean sheet isn't really that bad a result. I just thought they might turn them over.

Some other shocks in there too that no one's talked about... Hertford and Tring losing at home. What happened Big Dawg Col and Tringarmy?

Funnily enough Savage, I did actually hear a bit of gossip at a pub quiz on Tuesday, nothing too juicy though. At a pub called the Ember Arms round the corner from Sun Sport's ground. One player, Brima Johansson seems very unhappy at Sun. Was talking to some boys who were mates with him and he seems to think it's ridiculous he's not in the starting 11 and think's he's better that at least 4-5 of the players that are ahead of him. Personally, when I saw him, I thought he looked a bit lightweight and couldn't trap a bag of cement. But that was only one game and as has been the case many times this year, his appearance was only a brief cameo.

Couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo on Tuesday night.

Plenty of opportunities but with our top-scorer on the bench with a slight hammy issue, we were profligate in front of goal.

Same as Hadley last week I'm afraid.

The upside is we tend to thrash teams by 5 or 6 following performances like these so I'm hopeful for the next game.

We go again.

Good stuff RH.

I saw Sun Sports rip Wembley apart a few weeks back they look a decent side.

On their day, they're capable of beating most teams in the league. But it seems that's the case with quite a few teams this year! Everyone seems to be beating everyone.

I think of the 8 or so teams that are up there, the team who manages to get the most regular starting 11 out will win the league, not necessarily the best team. Looking like Berko are just that at the moment, as they're by far not the best team I've seen.

Prem is very open this season. After Harefield stuffed us, we thought they are not going to lose many more games and low and behold lost their next league game and another one since.

Same with St Magaertsbury, that have not won a league game since they beat us 6-1. Mind you they did have a magic 8 minutes.

Still think though Berko will be the team to beat, and amazingly not paying any money according to their chairman, that will be a fantastic feat.

Wasn't there on Tuesday but sounds as if Sam Styles had a blinder. We lost to Cockfosters away as well

Magic 8 minutes!

Got to admire the Chairman coming out and laying his cards on that table.

They have done very well not to be paying any players!

Chairman will always say that, especially in this league. If a chairman pays the players decent money and they don't go up, it looks like a waste of money and no one wants to admit to that.

I know full well that at a minimum, certain players key players at berko are on money, there may be some fringe players who aren't but that's it. Do you really think someone of BJ Christie's arrogance would play for free?!

There is no way on gods green earth they aren't paying. Nowadays you can't get anywhere near top of prem without and to be fair back in the day teams were paying. Especially when some players are probably playing below themselves and have moved from where they were getting a decent screw before. Maybe the 'club' isn't paying technically because we all know the trouble they found themselves in before, perhaps they have private sponsors for the players, last year Perry and one or two others put in money Winslow the football club never was in a position to pay and all those players who 'loved' and really enjoyed playing for the club moved on and are getting money elsewhere and that's their perogative I only mention it to illustrate the point. It really doesn't matter it's up to them but don't try and have everyone's pants down by claiming there isn't money going in players pockets, they all there cos they 'love' the club or for the prestige of playing for Berko? Give me a break. Sometimes I think clubs/managers/chairman want everyone to think they are bloody magicians. Don't get me wrong because a lot of the time the figures you hear are nonsense, players go around on a Saturday night saying they are on 3 times what they are, in the vain hope people will be impressed when most of the time you just think 'why are they paying that donkey that much?!' If I had 30-40k I could just chuck at it every season I would and I wouldn't hide it or be ashamed but I would want the FA Vase for my money ;-)

I would like to stick up for BJ. He has played for AFC since he was 15 and would never call him arrogant. He is a fine person.
