Great picture Gary, that is quite embarrassing then, as we said at the time, the assistant will have been watching Reece take the shot, and as you can see from Daryll he is on the move, and all it takes is the centre half to step forward and Daryll to make his run, and when the assistant looks across his line it looks offside.... it did take a deflection of one of their players but that can not interfere in terms of offside.

So proof we had a perfectly good goal disallowed.

When it is not your day it is not your day!!!

Not able to make tomorrows game so wish the boys well.

P.S.  Make sure Manny gives you a ticket when you go through the turnstiles after the debacle of a few years ago.  Would not want the game to be abandoned again and have to wait for tickets to then be issued begrudgingly - will also help him to let the league and tax man know the number who attend.

You're a fine one to talk about me not being at yesterday's game,Rebel1965,when you weren't there either!

Hypocrisy or what !

A bad day all round for a number of reasons which is such a shame after a really positive week or two.

As has been said by many though, 9th out of 24 is not a bad position to be in at this stage of the season having just been promoted and Bakes and I remain very positive about the prospects for this season!

This week will be a tough one as we are faced with major injury problems and some illness around too which is not helping. We will get some team news out later today for tomorrow's game and we can only hope the situation improves for the weekend.

It wasn't the greatest game, our players understandably looked a bit tired but I still thought we deserved a point on the balance of play. Credit to Arlesey who dug in and defended well. With the players going off, there wasn't much of a shape to speak of in the last 20 and it looked like we would never break them down. More worried about the injuries than the loss really, 6 out of 9 is great going for a week like that.

I do wonder about the balance of the squad and whether we will address it. We are lacking cover at left back and on the wings, particularly given Jake's injury problems and Wazza's long term injury. We perhaps have got more than enough strikers and central midfielders. I'd like to see us bring in someone who can cover LB and CB (a Ryan Lake or Dave Woozley type) and maybe someone who can do a job on both wings.

Fair points Mark. Balance of squad is something we are looking at currently (in fact we are always looking at it!) but it's never easy getting the numbers and the balance exactly right and there are always a number of factors to consider. We have some thoughts and irons in the fire though so watch this space!
