Tommy Wright wasn't exactly full of praise for our style of football last night either.

:D

I have to say myself and Jon have become used to opposition managers talking down about our sides over the years, we have had it for 3 years or so, you would be surprised at how many times managers turn round and say we were not at the races today etcand that they were poor, when the truth is our lads work so hard they do not enable them to play their normal game, and yes we have to mix it up a bit, but I am sure you lot will have seen over the last year or so that the lads can also play good football...

We set them up to win games of football, which at the end of the day is what it is all about... the Truro manager was incredibly disrespectful after our game and we were very disappointed with what he had to say, I am not sure you would see either Jon or I ever call a team poor (win lose or draw even if between us we thought it) and we were also given no credit by Tommy Wright in the interview.

However the facts are we went to Truro and Corby within 4 days, and have come away with 6 points having conceded 2 goals against teams that are meant to be challenging for play offs this year, and this is with a 5 of the back 6 (5 defenders on the books that are fit and Somers) being 23 or under.

A positive week in the Rebeloution!

long may teams underestimate us!!!

why on earth a team like Corby who only finished 11th last season are going into games expecting to beat any team no questions asked I am not really sure.

seems Truro and Corby managers deem us as not very good at all yet seem to remember us coming home with the 3 points in both

do think he had a point when mentioning if teams are on their game we could be and have already been turned over. Corby didn't play too well yesterday but still had 2 or 3 at least glorious chances only stopped by last ditch heroic defending or terrible finishing.

Was the same at Truro but even that evens itself out. in other games we have been punished for not taking our chances and then getting suckerpunched when our opponents have their only 1 or 2 chances in the game.

Some of these opposition managers can be real Knobs.

As Bakes say's, you need to show a bit of respect to other teams.

Even if you privately might think it, when talking about the opposition after a game, you need to show a bit of respect otherwise it just comes across as sour grapes and really does you and your club no favours at all.

As for Corby not playing well, I think that on the night Corby came up against a team that didn't allow them to play well.

Yes Corby had some good chances to score, but didn't we have some very good chances as well?

The Corby manager should be more concerned about his own teams performance as they never really broke us down and were reduced to long range shots which were absolutely dreadful.

This season isn't about playing total football, its about winning games and making sure we avoid relegation. But also if at around Christmas time it does look like we might be able to push for top half / play offs then we should go for it 100%.

we are not here to make friends or just make up the numbers !

Half decent ground unfortunately it was as dead as grounds like burnham, other than for the handful of chavs who only know how to swear.

Well I got into the interview ( well my car did ).

These Managers say we're physical, Truro take a look at George Shorts head, Corby have a look at the Adrian Sear chance first half. He shot and 2 defenders went straight through him (along with other challenges).

I thought we just edged it last night in a close game. Apart from their first-half goal, a miss-kick 5 yards out and Ryan Parsons clearing off the line after Jake's excellent challenge which put him out of the game I thought we created more than them.

Beating these two teams over the last two games should give our confidence a huge boost.

Plus you prob won't see a better passing move for the chance that almost set-up Adrian Sear I'm the first-half. That was an outstanding piece of football by us!

Got a few clips from the game last night including dobsons goal which I hope everyone has seen now on Twitter. Will get them onto YouTube at some point tonight.

Great job on the freekick Gary. Looking forward to seeing it full speed.

A belated well done to the guys on a fantastic team effort at Corby. Wonderful finish from Dobbo who is in a rich vein of form. Difficult to pick a MoM from a great team performance.

It's quite nice to hear opposition managers talking about how they didn't perform against us as if they expected to win by default. We need to maximise our underdog status before teams realise we are actually quite good!
