Looking forward to Wednesdays game, would be nice to keep the momentum.

 

Quarter of the way through the season and 10th in the table - what most sensible fans would have hoped for, and any thing extra is a bonus.

Please be aware that the bus to Corby (if you're booked onto it - it is full) now leaves Wexham Park at 5pm and not 4.30 as previously advertised.

Why 5pm?

 

I would have thought that 4.30 would have been more sensible at that time of night?

 

If we get caught in any traffic or accidents it could be just one mad rush to get there on time.

 

Google says it's a 2 hour journey without traffic/accidents.

as a regular traveler on the uk motorway system,  i find that if you buy your parking ticket any time for after 1430 you will not be far wrong.

Concurred, 5pm is pushing it....that extra half hour would make a big difference. Some of the times Ive seen the coach leaving, do make me wonder. I'd rather get to grounds with time to spare, rather than getting through the turnstyles as its about to kick off.

But isn't it a case of balancing getting there with maximising the number of people who can potentially travel? The coach could leave at 3:30pm but most people wouldn't have the opportunity to get on it due to other commitments. I've no idea if this is the reason for the change but I would have thought that had to play a part in the decision.

The bus is fully booked so the original time was obviously fine anyway, but they've taken a decision to leave later.

I have received the following message from Mike this morning (Yes it was that easy to get in touch with him):

 

"Hi Dan

The decision to delay the departure time is because the bus cant get to us until 5pm approx.

All buses around us are booked on school runs, mid week away games always cause problems.

 

Would you post on the forum please and offer our apologise we are doing the best we can!

Sue, seems there wasn't the demand for a coach, hence the mini bus.

 

On the plus side, at least you'll get there on time

You will get there no worries.

 

There is a difficulty with leaving around four as most coaches are booked for school runs. Can understand the mini bus as a big coach costs more and needs filling. Might also help if people who book the coach turn up !

Corby have an excellent TV channel which is well worth a look.

 

Going by their videos they look to be a more than useful side.

 

We'll have to be alive to long throw ins and free kick aimed at their big center back Paul Malone who seems to score on a regular basis from these.

 

Tough night ahead.
